I called up XIMB today afternoon:

Me: Sir, I am waitlisted.. wanted to know about the waiting list movement.
Sir: Which course have you applied for?
Me: PGDM
Sir: There has been no waiting list movement so far..
Me :nervous: So how many people have widrawn so far sir?
Sir: 4 people have widrawn. There are 15..16..17 .. 17 buffer calls, so once that clears up the waiting list movement will happen. I suggest you wait till the end of this month.
Me: (Thinking ::confused::confused::whatthat: "17" buffer calls.. I heard someone say 15 :confused Ok Sir, thank you.

Seniorzz plz clarify.. how many buffer calls have been sent. Plz comment on the waiting list movement as well.

Da buffer is alwez dr wenever dy release a new list...
In the 1st release dy have 60 after dat 15 n after dat 7.
Even in the last release just before the classes commence dy have a buffer of 3 students dat is why dy have variable student strength every year(Its nt 120 every year)

As said by kenneth 7 ppl have opted out,So effectively from nw on da waiting list would start moving becoz in da next waiting list dy wud b havn a buffer of 7 seats.

hey.. u've got it wrong.. In the first list there was a buffer of 60 and in the revised list there is a buffer of 15. No new list has come out since then. There is no new buffer of 7. Currently, of the buffer of 15, we're expecting 7 to back out. More movement is expected by may end. Only when these 15 withdraw their fees, can we see a movement in the waitlist.
