Well,

I too received my letter today..!
But there was no mention of any loan tie ups, if any, that XIMB has..
Does any one have any idea regarding this..?
I mean are we supposed to arrange the loans on our own.. or will the college assist in any way..

cheers,

PGDM Class of 2010,
XIMB

Pranab, I think the letter is pretty clear that this time, we need to get our own laptops. Maybe we all can come together and try and get a good deal for a bulk order. U can chk out the relevant thread on the orkut community for the 2008-2010 batch.

As for fees, we only have to pay 50000 by 18th April and 43K odd by 12th June. The boarding and miscellaneous charges are to be paid as incurred, during your stay @ XIMB. Seniors, please correct me if I m wrong.

Re: [2008]XIMB Results OUT!!!! - 01-04-2008, 07:57 AM

puys few doubts....
1. In the poll created by our fellow puy it shows that more than 40% are sure to join XIMB.... but as per the analysis by some people they say that the waitlist is going to move till 100+... that means 80+100=180... i.e. a waitlist movement of 180+...!!!!!!! is it possible practically???... its just my doubt....
2. From past how many years has XIMB been giving 180 confirmed calls for 120 seats???
3. Can somebody post wt are the other colleges for which people will be leaving XIMB( i dont think this is against the forum rules... if it is just ignore this question)... so that we can have a clear understanding about when we can expect the waitlist movement...

Important points to note:
1. Course begins on 19th June 2008. They have asked us to reach on campus by 18th evening.
2. We need to pay Rs. 50,000 on or before 18th April, 2008.
3. The fees as in the brochure has been revised stating changes made in the sixth pay commission.
4. Laptops are compulsary on campus.

Thanks for the info, Zippo.. But is anything mentioned regarding the reimbursement of fees, in case of students who join other B-schools.. When i called up XIMB yester and asked the reimbursement guidelines, was told that the call letter contains details. Plz post that too

Small Correction: It's not 80..it would be 60.! ( 120+60= 180)

Going by the trends we can definitely be optimistic of the movement till 80. But as many puys have mentioned abt their conversation with persons from admission office abt large overlapping b/w list of XL and XIM, we can see the waitlisting moving past 100.

Hope is what all we can do right now.

Cheers

hey herbie,
The poll suggests 60% to join ximb n nt 40% as u have mentioned. It was 80% last yr.
Thats whr i drew da conclusion dat it will be a 20% increase in da movement of waitlisters from 84(which was da last wait lister to get admited) which takes it beyond 100.
dis is a really optimistic speculation
180 things been there since long. From wat i have learnt from pagaluy forums its been dr at least since da last 4 5 yrs.beyond dat i hav no idea
considering da 180(120+60)thing happens every year we can overlook it.
V r optimistic about our chances going by wat fellow puys said after there conversation wid da admin deptt.
N reg da higher percieved colleges we can divide it in2 2 parts:
1.IIMs,XLRI,FMS,SPJain,MDI,NITTIE,IIFT
2.As per location pref ppl may select several IITs,IMT G,NMIMS,MICA, over XIMB.But XIMB,s status is at par if nt more dan ne f dese.

If m missing ne colleges ne1 cn add up2 da list.
