After 3 rejects(SIBM,SCMHRD,XLRI-BM) , XIMB convert has breathed fresh lease of life.
have been trying to get into a b school for the better part of last three years ... Jus when i felt there's no hope, one b-school wants to take me.... yipeeeeee....Its party time

Hi Guys,

Finally I alos get a chance to post after a convert.

My Brief profile:
XAT Score : OA 98.68 (quant 92.24, VA 99.46, LR; 82.xx) I thought i was lucky to get a call after having so low LR.
Acads 10 78.6
12- 84.6
B Tesch in EcE -67.92
Work Ex- 39 months now in IT MNC
Extra Curr. - Average I suppose
GD- Decent
PI- I was in Mumbai batch where they didbn't ask much..So no point in rating it.

I have a convert from AIM Manila.. So kinda confused b/w XIMB and AIM. Most prob would join AIM.. I guess wait listed guys would like that.

In the end I would like to say I have applied to many colleges and have iseen their processes. XIMB surely stands out and is better than many others. So all the best to all the guys who are going to join.. And also to wait listed candiates.

They should come out with an updated waiting list in April 3rd week.

The confirmed calls this time are 180. The whole list is put up on XIMB notice board. As communicated by admission office it is 180 every year. Last year the WL movement was till 84. But year before that it was 59.

After 3 arduous years of hoping for an admit, it is time for me to rejoice. Got the confirmed admit... what a relief it has been

Nvr thot i wud get a call with this low QA. Missed XL 3 years in a row because of QA. (imagine cutoff was 90 that year and i got 89.98 with overall 98 ):sarcasm:

PI- Good (Started out as stress, ended in total comedy with the prof asking me to join the film industry and try acting)

There has been some confusion here with talks of rankings.
XIMB does not rank students after the GD/PI.The 'merit' list that ur talking about might be the list of the XAT percentiles in descending order which is taken into considering both while handing out GD/PI calls as well as the final calls.

Had called up XIMB. I was told even last year 180 people were given calls same like this year
