IMI-Delhi, NIRMA, IMT

IMI-Delhi V/s NIRMA

I have been finally selected in IMI Delhi, and also expeting a final selection from NIRMA Ahmedabad. But I'm not able to make a choice b/w th 2. Refering their websites I cam 2 know their average packages resp. were 8.5 lacs and 7.5 lacs. But it is often suggested never to rely on these figures as they can be misleading . I really dont know what should be done..I compare the faculties of the two college and they both are comparable. If they both are almost the same..then we can peruse over other aspects like city ..cost of living etc. The salary of the two colleges are 2.55 lacs and 2 lacs per annum resp. The last date of submission of 1st installment (Rs. 1.42 lacs)of imi-delhi is 31st march. Apart from this i'm awaiting result from imt-ghaziabad. Both imt-ghaziabad, nirma results are not yet out..I dont want to pay the fee in haste and repent later on..is there any wy out...??

Right now preference order is: 1)IMT-Ghaziabad (2) IMI-Delhi (3)NIRMA (4) IMT-Nagpur

well it'll b better to get in touch with the respective seniors using PM or search the relevent threads to get a clearer picture of the facts n figures....

as far as results r concerned, IMT n Nirma, both must b coming out with their results before 30March... so if possible, u can wait till then n submit fees on 31March....
In fact, u can still pay the fees n get it refunded from IMI if u decide not to join it later... just confirm their policies before making the payment...

Dude... If I am not mistaken, Even if you pay the fees of IMI, you will be able to reclaim it anytime. And if you reclaim it before the commencement of the course at IMI, you'll get your whole amount after a deduction of just INR 1000/-.
It applies to all Institutions affiliated to AICTE as it is a AICTE directive.

So, if you wanna play safe... go ahead and pay the fees. It's just a matter of 1k.

But if you like living on the edge... take the risk man!!

all the insti u named have more or less the same standing..pls dn judge insti merely by placements or rankings ..All the 3 have some negatvs and postives...i have myself had a similar prb and aftr enuf research found them at par...better check their course structure and c which 1 will help u most as per yr goals....Dnt forget btw, that at NIRM Au wd get dual specialization as well as a degree as against a diploma at IMT or IMI...agan IMI has one of the best faculties ..IMT has a bettr brand name...so all are almost same....decide as per yr personal goals!!

Me to in the same boat as you do...i think this is a very useful thred started by you.....the main competition is between IMT G and IMI delhi...NIRMA and IMT N are ways behind by all parameters......IMI lacks in infrastructure.....but wat i have heard from the seniors is that the faculty out there in IMI is excellent.......the cut offs for IMI have increased considerabley in the recent past.......so...the college is improving in its reputation every passing year.....1 more imp fact is that IMT gives u the field of specialistaion at the time of admission itself...this is very negative aspct for guys especilly like me who cannnot do with nething other than finance (am a CA with 2 years of work ex)...so ..if you dun get a branch of your choice i IMT...no use of joining that college.....
Hope this helps...as regards NIRMA and IMT N...theere cut off si around 90 %ile.....also they are pretty youn as compared to IMI and IMT G....i think this is enough to answr you queries....
but yes...dceision out of IMT G and IMI delhi wud be a tough 1.....
