AFAIR, there are around 32 seats for MBA first year students in the hostel.

Yes you can. Everyone initially stays as guest in the hostel with a charge of Rs. 50/- daily or something. Once the hostel interactions are done, then you will get ur rooms and all. You can choose your room partner too but both of u need to go together to take the room initially even as guests

what if we don get VKRV ??? where do we stay ?? are there any other hostels?? i just filled the vKRV form

Another hostel is Kothari which is adjacent to VKRV. Other options are taking up PG or take a flat on rent with other classmates. But in all probability, u will get the hostel but its better to have back up options. Since you are reaching some days in advance, do hunt for some place in and around the university area.
