GIM Final Results 2008 out!!!

Hey GIM guys picked up finally...i got my call transferred to Ms. Jennifer...spoke with her...same thing..no update on the WL movement..they havnt taken any1...i told her tht i personally know of students who have backed out, she said then they have not communicated...i told her they hvnt even paid the second draft...she dint say anything on it...said to take up any other call i have at the moment...GIM will however keep callin till june 18th if they have a vacancy

...situation doesnt look pretty bright guys...

phoned GIM... didn't tell when to call back to check although i asked.

They only said that they could make offer till before 19th june... after that.......... no more chance as admissions will be closed...

I hope I get the call....

I got a chance to speak to Ms Jennifer. Got a confirmation from her that only 120 people were issued calls in the first list. But she told that no one from the first list had opted out. When i told that a person whom i know didnt even send the first draft, she said that they did not intimate them. Next time if any one calls, please ask how the people should withdraw their admission as there are a no of withdrawals lately. Didnt get to speak much other than this.

well i can understand the anger and frutration of witlisted guys.... only thing i can say at this point of time is be patient (easier said than done )........i dnt know much abt the buffer calls ....but GIM will communicate to ppl whenever things become clear from their end.... even they do not want to hold back and make ppl wait...remember, they announced their gd/pi reults well before time ..... (the last gd/pi was on 7th march and results were out on 20th

abt the draft, if u do not finally make it to GIM, they will send u the draft back as it is.....

let us not speculate on integrity on college.....jenifer madam is v sweet and plite and v student friendly.....if she has no answer for WL ppl, then be rest assured they have nt been able to decide till nw.....and as most of you may already be knowing, there are some management decisions which are nt openly spelt out in public...so pla plz be patient

Hey dude, dont be disheartened! life doesnt end if we dont get into GIM! if you dont have any other call, then carry on with ur life this year and have a comeback @ next year CAT..!!

i know its sad for most of us waitlisters and do pray u get in( and me too )! but life is much more than just a GIM call, right???

wel if only 120 people are givin cals then there are plenty of things that cum up to one's mind which challenge the college's integrity...don wanna say tht over here as it wud irk current and past students of gim, but guys be in our shoes and then think

only 120 cals given
24 + people have surely not taken admission and
then they say no clearence in waitlist or nobody has cancelled its seat
how come are we supposed to believ this and control our mind not to think anything negative

its been close to two months since result came out nuthin concrete has cum up since then... wat are they waiting for now

SENIORS U ALL HAVE BEEN PRETTY HELPFUL,PLZ TEL US THE INSIDE STORY......, U WUD HAVE ACCESS TO PROFS AND ADMINISTRATION . PLZ ASK THEM TILL WHEN THIS HARROWING TREATMENT OF WAITLISTED GUYS WIL GO ON. ALSO ITS LIKE A BAD STAIN ON GIM's REPUTE

I completely agree wid u jaggu on this one.......

Nd frnds who are on waitlist I would suggest u to refrain from questioning the integrity of the college. I'm sure there must be a reason to the madness and no one(even ppl frm the admissions) wld have anything against any one of u to do this.

Don't forget the fact that ppl who were earlier praising the college for the most friendly and wonderful seniors and the most approachable and sweet jenni ma'm are now the ones cursing the college and everything else associated with it. Do ur opinions change so fast!! come on people be responsible as u never know u might end up at the college feeling worse for things that u mite say now.

I am totally with u and wld have definitely felt the same if I was in ur place. Its one thing to give advice and another to be in the other persons shoes. But there is a proper way to things. I'm sure the admissions dept must be as helpless as u r and would be trying their best to help u out. At the same time they too must be harrassed by the frequent calls from ppl wishing to know their converts. If they wished to be unhelpful they wld have done so right at the beginning when the first list was out. I still remember jenni ma'm talking calmly and sweetly to me to let me know of my convert. Which other college will give u such kind of leverage.

Guys please have a li'll bit of more patience(I know it's asking for a lot !!) but u've waited for long (counting the time from which u must have begun ur MBA preps) so please wait some more. I'm sure some of u lucky ones will definitely will make it into GIM and will forget this episode as a bad nightmare. But till den keep praying and Goodluck!!\

nd yes ppl ur welcome to groan if u wish as it does not make any difference to me if u do so. But my only intention is to give u a different perspective and correct me if I'm wrong.

well guys i can understand the pain u guys r going thru coz i m on the same boat as u, i know its really frustrating to face the "tareekh pe tareekh" situation but we should not lose hope and say that the road ends over here. it'd b really stupid 2 say tht life doesnt end if we dont get a gim call coz we know how long we've been waiting and now it's almot matter of life and death (at least for me). but 2day not getting any final conclusion doesnt mean the end of road...we'll have a new date. and think oterwise....if the admission wud have been over they could have very well said " see the admissions are closed...ta ta bye bye....dont ever call again we are not accepting any calls" but they are saying that they will b issuing calls till 19th. well keep ur fingers crossed and wait....we all will get rewarded!!! may b this post brings a ray of hope 2 u guys!!
