The joining date is given as 19 June, no special reference as 'Refresher Classes' although...

initially they were slated to start from 12th.. but afterwards we were told that refresher classes.. IF ANY.. will start after 19th itself..this was told by miss jennifer so that we could make the necessary travel arrangements.. []

Hi All,

As per Kentech’s previous post I can make out that some rooms may be better than others in GIM hostel. But frankly, I am not that fussed about rooms. Rehna hi toh hai, kaisa bhi chalega…after all .I am not buying that room ….

BUT….

@SENIORS, PLEEEEZ tell if there are any rooms which you would rather avoid . Some rooms that, due to whatever reason, you would not touch with a barge pole??

So instead of asking which is the best room…..which would definitely be very rich of me, I wanna ask you to tell us in case there are any rooms which we’d be better off not taking up. If such rooms exist, do let us know and we’ll be careful not to take them…and if at all the all rooms are really free of any inherent disadvantage, then toh chak de phatte…..

AND FINALLY…

Is there any room that gives a view of the Mandovi? I am asking cos it would be a welcome change for I live here in a huge groundfloor apartment in Mumbai which has every amenity but a “view”…..

Rest I am not at all fussed. Its already a great thing that I made it thru and nothing could be better than that. I will live in a TAPREE for 2 years if I have to, for this degree. I had gone to give the Welingkars GD PI today, just for the kicks, where I met some of my GIM GD PI mates who hadn’t made it and I thanked god a million more times.

There was HT -1 last year which had some problems as in water got filled up during monsoons.. inmates whr shifted to a different room but i guess that has been repaired... just have a watch for that... apart from that all rooms are fine....

Now as already mentioned OT is the place to be... OT rocks...

There are a few rooms that provide the view to the Mandovi but they will be only available next year for u guys.... already taken up by us... (as in PGP2s)
