I don think people who have not sent their DD's or not joining GIM will be visiting this thread any more..... We shall have to wait to 5th till we (hope) get an official word from the GIM admission office.... And I hope the words are happy for all of us....

Someone had asked about the FCFS process for hostel arrangement..when u arrive on 18th ,all the hostel rooms will be kept open for ur inspection...u gotta choose room and than inform mukesh(warden) accordingly as to which room u want...Its FCFS in the sense that who ever comes first for the room gets it..room partners will be alloted based upon ur degree background as in people wid similar degrees can't take rooms together..this is done to make learning easier...Anyway there are enough good rooms up for grabs so no worrie about that...

P.S.Who ever takes Room No 21-22 In OT..I m gonna use ur bathroom...

I know wierd question, but a very pertinent one nontheless...

What is the ratio of rooms to bathrooms in GIM hostels??

Secondly, a lot has been told about All the rocking ghosels of GIM...So I believeIf I tell you that," HEY SENIORS TELL ME WHICH ARE THE GOOD ROOMS IN HOSTELS..There may not be a proper answer.

So I will simplify my question, are there any rooms, which given a choice, you'd rathet avoid for any damn reason.....

Thanks a lot in advance, Your answer could mean the difference in our existence and our scores in the first year.

I called up the GIM admissions office....they asked me to call back on May 17th for further updates by when the final list would be prepared....the person whom i spoke to also said that the admissions office would start calling the people on a one to one basis shortly. When i asked whether i could call before May17th, she said that some people in the first list have requested to accept their even if the admissions office receives it a bit late after May05th.( They have faxed the DDs as proofs).

This is for confirmation from waitlisters. Has every one received the acknowledgement via e-mail/courier for the 1st DD sent? Kindly let me know, I haven't received the confirmation for the same. Do I need to worry? I sent my DD thru speed post, and their website says that my DD has been delivered.

Also, I request anywaitlisted puys who receive calls to post ASAP.

I did not receive any acknowledgement for the first DD which i have sent; but i did confirm from the authorities that they have received the DD. I dont think any one from the wait list has received any acknowledgement for the first DD sent.

I'm on waiting list, and i've not received any ack yet.. i believe none of the w/l rs have received it..
