thank you for expounding the benefits of a backpack over a carrier case so scientifically..i m sure dat after readin dis many peopl who mite otherwise have opted 4 a carriercase(urs truly mite hav bn bendin in dat directn a bit) wil now opt 4 d backpack..

not too sure about rock music..but i m a big EPL fan mysely.. and a hardcore MANU fan.. i guess it would be nice meeting ur team in the finals..!! (i.e. if u can reach there..!! ) buttell me 1 thing which i have failed to understand over the years.. why do liverpool fail to perform in the EPL and stilmanage to perform good in UEFA.. is it plane luck or wat...!!!!!!

Thanks a lot for the encouraging words. I firmly believe in the merits of the backpack. It feels nice that I have saved you the painful misery of carrying a 4 pound machine for 2 years at GIM.

As far as spamming is concerned,I don’t think you need to worry cos we are discussing 1) Something relevant (ie Laptops) and 2) We are not having a chat that affects only the two communicators but everyone who is planning to wing it to Goa this June. Spamming is not actually about content, but your intention. If that is good…mods are ok wid it…

I was planning to buy a Compaq 902TU, 17 inch widescreen with 1gb RAM and 160 gb SATA hard disk, but now I have changed my mind. I am going for a HP 14 inch. Reason, The smaller machine has all the computing power that I will need at GIM and plus it is helluva lot lighter and less cumbersome. That 17 inch behemoth is for movie watching, thus I preferred a lighter one. Even the GIM offered laptop fits the bill in terms of ease of handling.

man ...thts ok that even IIM I and L hav also come out with the results...but the thing is that whts the probability tht the waitlisters will get calls on 5th or at least the waitlist nos....can the deadline b after 5th also.....can any of the guys from the 1st list tell tht the date of payment of 2nd installment is 5th or something b4 tht???

Hey Man Kapil

I think you are a bit exasperated at the recent tirade launched against the GIM adm process by a certain frustrated waitlister. Do not make the same mistake that our well meaning senior Mr Akashat Killa ended up making. Do not react to those useless comments. Someone rightly said, till yesterday those who were singing paens about transparency @ GIM are today questioning the integrity of the process as well as certain staff members9with accusations of lying and hiding info….(gimme a break)!!!

All waitlisters, though venting the anxiety and frustrations on the delay, never really question GIM itself, so I think it’s a one off case.I thank all the users for their patience and not making this thread into an absolute groan fest, thus making it difficult to post anything unless you have aliases….


I have always maintained that saying “Just Chill man” is very easy…but u have made it, so seriously, just chill. And considering the RTI thing, well boss, GIM unlike the ill fated government schools do not run on the Government funds and thus, Thankfully, is not subject to whims and fancies of b@$+@*#$ in Delhi….AND….Its also not obliged to give any info under RTI….

Its getting very hot across India…Chilling became even more difficult…..Boss I so badly need these 2 years of assignments in Goa….

Hey can anyone tell me how the hostel room allotment works???i tried calling GIM but they just kept transferring my call back n forth.....first come first serve....but only from 18th june...so its first come first serve on 18th?plz enlighten .....
