guys...i'd request u guys to stop all this. jus think, whn some1 will visit this thread for some necessary info and all he'd find is this worthless bickering between two guys who directly or indirectly is related to a premier insti like GIM, jus think of the impression he'll have on his mind for the insti. and right every1 is going to be a manager in the near future and managers do give politically correct answers but they also dont start counter argument on each and every comment he recieves. so chill.

see dude...we r also in the waitlist and in the same position as u r. in this situation of nervousness n anxiety i'd suggest u 2 b a calm player and dont start hitting back to the seniors. see man....i've seen in the threads of many colleges where seniors dont even reply to ur queries. here the seniors r trying to help u and then u r like gettin on their shoulders, and still they r facing ur insulting and harsh words and still they r hanging around 2 help u. see if this continues there wont b a single senior present here 2 help u guys!!!

Guys/gals ,

Let me try to put an end to all this mud-slinging. As some of the waitlisters have pointed out it is definitely possible that some of the students in the selected list have not paid the 1st installment. definitely possible. & hence you people feel that GIM shud've started giving out the calls to the waitlisters. Agreed , does make sense.

But think about this...we are all grown ups , put urselves in the shoes of the management of GIM & only then you will realise that it is a much much more convenient to consolidate the accepted offers list & finally give out calls to the waitlisters after 5th may.

Just think about it guys , why would the management wanna go thru the administrative hassels twice by giving out the 1st list in april then again in may ?? would you have done the same less efficient procesS?

There will be many students who have paid the 1st installment but will not pay the 2nd installment (joining another college). So this is when the management will know for sure how many waitlisters should be called & how many offers have finally been accepted why would they go over the same process twice when it can be done just once ? hope you guys are getting the point. Its all about management and optimum efficiency with the available resources.

And in guys it is also possible that there could be further delay or perhaps more waitlisters being called again sometime towards the end of may because the IIM's , TISS , MH-CET results are still to be out. So even the students who have paid the 2nd installment but who finally end up in JB or IIM's or TISS will back out.

So guys & gals there is a slight possibility here of the people paying the 2nd installment backing out...hence there could be more waitlisters called somewhere around the end of may...or the waitlist calls getting a lil more delayed.

If this post of mine doesnt make sense...please feel more than free to rectify me . Im ready for a backlash.

Would defnitely agree with what you have said....but for the guys who are working currently, things would become complicted as they have to serve a 60/90 day notice period after they put down thier papers.

5th may is the date for WL people..It makes sense to hold the results till the date of 2nd installment...At least they can avoid the hassles of taking the fees and returning back again....So we can check the status on 5th and i just hope we get called...

Backpacks are far more preferred than carrier cases for a very simple and functional reason. A carrier case, while concentrating all the weight on just one side of the body on a narrow strip, is highly inconvenient and a possible health hazard.

Whereas, the Backpack distributes the significant weight of the Laptop evenly throughout the back, and thanks to well designed backpack straps, you hardly feel the weight. (Its true, I carried a 17 inch HP widescreen and walked quite long and the bags feel so comfy that its as if it is an extension of your own body.)

And finally the clincher……Backpack leaves both your arms free, (which also is the reason our ape ancestors stoop up on two legs…..)

So you can see, the reason for popularity of the backpack is steeped deep in ergonomics and evolution….I hope it answers your doubt….

Hey , well you see thats gonna happen to all the waitlisters across all the b-schools.

Prolly the best solution would be paying a month's basic salary and getting out. cuz either you gotta give enough notice of 60/90 days. else serve as many days as possible and end up shelling out the basic pay for a month or two(at max.)

its a small price to pay man... after all money aint everything.

Nope i guess i was'nt very clear.... i just mailed saying i want the college deal...they asked me wen i'd be sending the DD..if u've decided to take the coll deal send the DD as soon as u can..sooner the better....or just mail them abt it...they dint mention any deadline for the payment.....
