Mr. bride or whatever.. no one not even the GIM admission committee needs to worry with this list .... i have always told u read my posts properly.... u r going to be future managers be rational.... u dont even have 120 polls for joining GIM... what will this prove...

Also u dont know whether thr were buffer calls or not... i guess someone told the IIML story about buffer calls... what could the waitlisters do.... nothing.. They cannot do anything but wait... the admission committee calls the shots looking at the situations... i guess this time thr are not enough vacancies that a list is even required... might be thats y the process is delayed.. or as still IIMs have not called so that makes movements pretty slow...

wait for the IIMs to open their doors then most B schools windows will open.. and so would GIMs too...

and i have told earlier too that waitlisters are second choice.... read that post for more clarity...

DOUBTS about admissions.... dude we are thr for an year... so whatever thoughts u have just erase it and wait.... and also pray that u r one of those lucky guys joining GIM....

....i dint get wot u wanted 2 say from above line that u people dont have even 120 polls... so what ?? this only shows that every first lister is not a pagalguy visitor/member and even in 95 votes 23 denied 2 take admission so in 120 polls it will be definetly equal 2 or greater than 23,and this only we need to proove. It is a lie which admission deptt speaks that "No first lister has rejected the offer and every one has sent DD".

Ok I really dint wanna say anything abt the WL movement coz i know how the wait can be(experienced it last yr...)but guys lashing out at the system is'nt gonna help u..Lets understand something...giving out buffer calls is NOT illegal/unethical.Its completely logical coz of the "cascading effect" thts bin talked about...I donno if GIM does or does not give out buffer calls but that is the standard procedure followed by bschools all over India.And that is a fact.In fact IIFT went on record n said that they do give out additional calls and from their experience its never happened that they gave out more calls than the no of seats they had....n that their judgement should not be questioned....chk out the threads last yr to get the exact quote ... it was posted by someone...at the end of the day we need to accept the fact that this is how it is with Indian Bschools and not just GIM...it does not warrant a loss of faith in the mgmt of this particular college guys...Its bin said an umpteen no of times on this thread but still...u've waited this long wait it out a lil while longer....then u'll kno if they've given buffer calls or not....all this discussion wont lead anywhere....channel all this energy into something positive in yur lives guys...All the best

And most of ur queries have been answered b4.... y do u keep on raising the same questions again n again... and every time expect some different reply.... change ur question .. better the way u look at things...
I guess one of u (chili) has given a god advice to channel ur energy and time in something better than all this..

Take heed of ur words... dont speak anything which u dont know... what do mean by a lie..... it must have been that the DDs have been recd above 120... do u think the management wants to lose good students... i guess no... they would pounce on every opportunity to have the best brains...

Next again (cant help though) students in GIM have no role to play in admissions... .. now none of us said that we were sure about buffer calls.. we all were giving our views because of lack of information... and answers depend upon situations...

1 senior says 4 sure that there are no buffer calls are given other says it cud b or cud not be but both say dont speculate just w8, While they themself speculate daily and change their statements as situation occurs ha ha.We are going to become future managers but Sir you people are almost became so its ur responsibility more to be politically correct.

if u chk with ne other college...gim gives out most information on teh admission front...
n the policies r so clearly laid out..tht u jst cant point a finger at transparency...
some colleges dont even reveal their cut offs....so buddy..chill....
n jst to tell u once more...GIM is a non profit organization.... the fee u pay...is much less thn the other colleges.... so if they wanted..they cud hav charged u more..n u wudn't even hav an option..... is tht? so they least interested in any dd amount....which is peanuts...

n hwn u plan to join the institution....respect the institution n its norms.... which hav stood up all the justifications u asked for....

I feel that this discussion is leading to nowhere.

I think making a list is an activity which holds its significance. It does help to know how many offers can we expect for waitlisters. It helps in keeping our hopes up. But then, I am totally in favour of Akshat's view that this list should not lead to things that are being said about the management and Admission process without checking their veracity and even before whole process is over.

It is taking time, due to reasons that may be administrative and out of our hands. List would give waitlisters like me an Idea as to what we can expect when 2nd waitlisters are called. But any mud slinging on the pretext of the list should be unacceptable.

@ moderators: I request you to monitor the posts and take necessary action to maintain the purpose of the thread.
