Guys , I am crazy about football (soccer) . I am sure there must me many more football fans out there at GIM ! I am a huge fan of Arsenal in the EPL and Fabregas is my favourite player . In Spain , I support Barca and in Italy it is Inter ! Amongst the national teams , I have always been an Argentina fan ( Maradona is my idol - Of late Riquelme , Messi and Tevez ) Do you guys play football there at GIM ? If yes , count me in for sure ! I have played for my school , college and company team (in corporate tourneys) and also local clubs in Pune ! Position : Midfield ( Central / Winger ) Anvesh Kharbanda ,

hey alien07 me too a hardcore footie n rock fan.....i am a diehard fan of Man U !!! my fav players r Rooney, Ronaldo n Tevez....I started following Man U whn Beck played there and was a star and scored awesome goals thru free kicks!!! in La Liga i follow Real Madrid. And the best thing is tht both r heading towards their respective titles for the 2nd yr running. well i followed English national team with heart but feel tht Capello's pick of team is not sooo decent to win in major tournaments....it was awesome under Eriksson.
well i am a die hard linkin park fan and follow Metallica, GnR, Nirvana alot!!! My genre in ALternative Rock and love songs by Creed, RHCP, Nickelback, Goo goo Dolls, The Calling, AC DC, etc too.....btw who's ur fav band

hey guys ,
this post may seem a lil absurd but under the present circumstances i just felt like posting my thoughts. guys/gals , sometimes its kinda nice not knowing your waitlist number.
after having gone through all the threads on GIM , roughly about 10 people from waitlist make it . for the sake of the wait listers lets say this time 30 make it. then honestly speaking, if you are within waitlist 30, then obviously you would be over the moon...but what if (god forbid) you are on waitlist 30+ ???
i know the suspense must be killing but still guys at this juncture sometimes the saying "ignorance is bliss" can really calm your nerves.
its simple as this guys...even if GIM had given out the waitlist numbers some would be happy with half-chances of making it in and some would be devastated knowing they cannot make it... its just like the 2 faces of a coin.
remember guys we are all humans " the grass is always greener on the other side".
with a high percentile and just one low sectional in XAT i cudnt make it to the LIBA shortlist...there were people with much lower percentiles making it. It obviously killed from the inside but then if you are applying to the college then you gotta show faith in the process as well. no matter how bad the process be of an XYZ b-school its finally we who have given them so much of power and hype.
last but not the least...a few lines from the most inspiring movie i've seen (shawshank redemption) ... "hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and all good things never die " peace. | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to scattered For This Useful Post: | | | | | |

Hey mate.. very true..
since we all have applied to GIM, and since we all believe that GIM is honest with its policies, we have to trust the admission process.. I know how bad it is to be on w/l not knowing whether you will make it thru or not.. (I am also on w/l). And as Scattered pointed out, if GIM had published the w/l, then it would have made some people feel more relaxed, while others totally devastated. As of now, all we know is that we are all in w/l and since we do not have any info about our position on the w/l, we can consider ourselves to have a fair chance of converting (and an equally fair chance of not converting.. ).. We have waited this long.. lets wait for a few more days..
And another quote which might inspire you all Things Happen for a Reason and the Reason is for Good..
Cheerz.. Quote:

@W8listedStudents Well still life does'nt stop so keep doing other tasks and if get GIM then it is well n good. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
