I spoke to GIM authorities today...They have confirmed that Refresher classes, if at all, would take place after 19th only..as i had mentioned in a previous post..refresher classes were supposed to be scheduled from 12th..but an internal meeting at GIM led to thuis decison of 19th only....though such discrepency in info is regretted, I would suggest that u guys book yr tickets after checking witth GIM..

And we shall be getting the DD recpt and the detailed payment schedule for the entire course within next 7-10 days....

Transparent Wow, Transparent like Steel or Wood Oh sorry i forgot they told us the number of seats, fee of the 2 year programme and venue of GD/PI . Is it enough 2 be so called as "Transparent System" ?? Sir ji u r talking about IIMs...I agree that they give calls in excess but atleast tell how many they have selected, LIBA has pasted on the notice board the Roll no.s of selected candidates and also provided info that for 120 seats provisionally selected 136 students and also selected 46 students in w8ing list.SIIB has given ranks to w8listers and movements of w8list are visible same with NarseeMonjee for 240 seats stdnts hving rank in 300s are being called. But transparent is GIM because they dont tell us any info :death:



Sir Confusions to honge hii when even seniors are not sure of buffer calls given or not?
Some say yes it could b as even IIMs do some say "I dont thnk GIM gives buffer calls ..." No solid info. which leads us to speculate. Is there any one from GIM who could tell us the no. of students selected for Sure ?? On whom we can rely ?
And if no buffer calls are given and first list candidates are sayin here that they dint send the DD(e.g. Swagat Sinha), Why GIM did not called any 1 from 2nd list on 15th itself ??
To update u first installment DD was asked to submit by each student irrespective of first or second list.Yes U r correct now only GOD can help us...
so "Keep praying if u believe in God"

As lotz of us surely said that buffer calls are illogical and surely lots of first listers did not send their DDs....The only possibility left is Jenny Mam counted each of the draft as came from first lister student and must be doubting and may be nervous also that what mistake happened we hav got more DDs than 120 and still 2nd listers are calling

Well seniors definetly disappointed from GIM admin but really impressed by ur will to help us...thnx for postin ur openion on this thread.

Well I can really understand the concerns and anxiety of those waitlisted...But my request is that stop passing comments like DISAPPOINTMENT WITH GIM ADMIN etc...I understand that you made this comment in the context of all the confusion..but my point is that try and understand the situation..with IIM delaying the results there are bound to be some delays...Just like we all are getting anxious at PG, similraly lots od discusions are going on at GIM to take a quick deczn on the matter...I have been fortunate to get selected in 5-6 institutes and believe u me..GIM has been the most responsive to all our queries....Yes, nobody is perfect and i acknowledge yr reservations...but tell me something..2 yrs later as a manager of a company can u afford this luxury of PG? Can u get so much info? Pls make more efficeint use of this FORUM puys...let us hae patience...nothing will happen before it is SUPPOSED to!!

I am happy to see that someone out here understands the concept of a waitlist.... so dont take things for granted that if u r in the wait list u will get through.. i was also waitlisted last yr in some premier B schools.. but when i did not get through it was just the realization that i was not the 1st choice...

But this does not mean u loose hope or something..... wait list will move like always but MOSTLY AFTER IIMs DECLARE THEIR RESULTS..... so have patience...

And ankit is correct when he says that they wont pick up any one from the streets.... its u guys who have shown that you have the potential though some were just marginally better and u r the ones who deserve to be thr..

guys understand the fact that the seniors r in their summers....still they r tryin their best 2 resolve ur queries....and they r jus seniors they r not shown the complete picture of the Admission process.....and u guys r leaving no chance to take a hit on them. and some 1 month back u guys were like "O my...u guys r the best seniors". com'on man....if u desrve u'll get it dont scream out here....if u dont, then stop brooding and remember u guys were not in the selected list....u were jus a buffer sitting in the waiting list coz for GIM u are not the 1st choice!!!!

Dude cool down ur tone and remember ur admission in GIM is mutual thing,GIM wants ppl like u and u want coll like GIM,so dnt behave as if GIM is burdened under u

please dnt talk abt NMIS or SIIB,first its not allowed in PG and second dnt make me rite abt these two insti and wat they stand for

I am understanding that seniors are in their summers, I also thanked them for their willingness to support us but unfortunately as they are not in campus we are not getting the inside story...or may be they cant get that...My disappointment is wid admission process and GIM admin.Please read again what i have written in my post...

I know it gives u immense relief once u know whr u stand.... and its not such that u will not know ur numbers.... the date may 5th is thr...

had cald up today.. same reply as wat al u waitlisters have got.....
i asked her for my waitlist number.. she said dat they are still working on it and would soon let us know...
i asked whether they wd be informing us by mail or wat???
she replied saying dat u can call up n ask abt ur status.....
no idea abt wen the waitlist numbers wd b given... but dats wat she told me..... she seemed like in a hurry to answer the call n i somehow managed to ask her atleast this much.....

Well first of all understand that admission process is something the information is just given to us by the administration.... we have no role to play.... whatever will be told to us would be also told to u guys.... all r same infront of the administation... its just that we can easily approach them... And what inside story u want to know..... Guys the small problem has been said by mandar and rahul a long time back.... i guess u know about the hostels allocation problem.. if not check their previous posts.... its just that... nothing grt as such that would change the entire admission process or something.... And one more thing its the wish of the management to declare the wait list numbers ... they might not have any.... or might not select any from the wait list.... and keep the seats vacant.... u cant question y they have kept the seats vacant and only selected 100 when they had 120 seats.... So just have patience and let them do their work.... they will come up with the wait list asap.... and also read my post carefully... which u guys never do... and raise all sorts of questions.... I have talked about Shamik's admission taking place even b4 the wait list were declared last year.... So if there is a vacany u will be informed and given admission prior to the declaration of the numbers... thats gives the administration less hassles... And GIM is not waiting for the IIM results to declare the waitlist... they are being talked about as most of the movements happen only after that.... and thus u are asked to be patient and not start overflowing with emotions and what not..... Guys just one more thing as u want a B school they also want good brains... ATB

hey i can see many guys coming out here and "GROAN"ing to the seniors....do u know guys hav patience and play a watching game!!! if u GROAN at seniors then the next time whn we'll have some imp queries there wont b any senior to help....i mean who will want to have "GROANS" when his main intention is to help....its better for him to move off the thread.....i guess u guys got the idea!!!
