Well friends a serious problem for all waitlisters :frown: After getting shocking news on Friday that full seats filled from the first list itself , i called today Monday @ 12:30pm to clarify my doubt regarding the same.Ms. Jenny told me the same news as told to anku9_gupta on friday that all 120 seats are filled by first list itself. My full conversation......

I : Hello, i want to talk 2 admissions deptt.
J: Yes pls tell.

I : Mam I am selected in the second merit list, could you pls tell me status of my admission.
J: See as of now all the seats are filled by first list itself.


I: (Shocked)Can u pls tell me how many students were selected in the first list ?
J: Sorry i cant disclose that.

I: But hw it is possible as from what i know around 25 stdnts from the first list are denying to take admission from selected list itself.
J: See we are not concerned of any forum or any other source of information from where u got this info.

I: Pls atleast tell how many students were there in the first list..
J: We have got all 120 drafts from 120 students selected...It isn't our concern that what they said on the forum.

I : Thanks...

I cant understand what is going on there, actually i was not expecting the result today but just wanted to listen that "result is in process pls call tomorrow".That would have been enough to calm myself because wanted to confirm that whether all seats were filled was rumour or reality, But disappointed.

Seniors pls help How it is possible that 120 calls and all filled ??

@ ALL SELECTED PUYS....is there anyone who has not sent the draft...this wil confirm whether its true or not( as they me mite be waiting for iim's result b4 cumin on to waitlist )

Very true....we can observe from the conversation between Ms Jennifer and itz-prasu that Ms Jennifer herself has told that she has received drafts from all the 120 people. So it is only 120 people whom they have issued calls in the first list.

If some one from the first merit list can post a message saying that they have not send the draft, we can have a ray of hope......have a gutt feeling that not all of them would have send thier respective drafts to the admin.

@jazz_sachit First of all whosoever voted as not joining GIM wont be visiting this thread now a days ,so it's very difficult to get info from them.Second thing generally IIM call getters have calls of many good institutes like MDI,NITIE, SPJAIN, IMT etc. and converts of 1-2 of these as backup if not selected, and they need not to take GIM as backup option It is very rare to hav converts combination of GIM and IIM only, So IIM calls wont effect that much.Yes as it is a chain process that IIM converts will leave other institutes and GIM selected will grab them and w8listers then could have some hope.

I personally know some students who after selection in GIM rejected for XIMB and XLRI and not sent drafts. So it cant be said that each of 120 had submitted drafts.
I have too much hope and faith on GIM admission process, but really disappointed due to not getting information from so long time. Still i m nt able to understand what is happening ? At least they should provide us info and not answers like that we cant disclose....

frenz...I can understand the anxiety of WL candidates(am in WL)but i doubt that anyone who is in selected list and who has not sent the DDis not interested in any thread of GIM so its doubtful that such person will respond to the above query, so if u know someone in that case ask him personally(to confirm).and its obvious that there will be some movement in WLits not possible that if 120 calls are made and 120 will join.so just pray to god...

i just went through the entire thread and have come to realise that the mood of the thread is turning out to be a little panicky and far from encouraging..:boat:
..i understand the gruesome and excruciating wait but an optimistic approach is needed at this point of time..there is no point of speculating about other institutes' and students' results..we need to hold our nerves till tmrw and pull up our fellow waitlisters in their spirits..after all v r ging to b future managers,not just managers but super cool managers who know how to hold their nerves under pressure situations..
if v deserve it,no one can take it away 4m us..if not, v shud acknowledge the other deserving candidates..:angel:

P.S:- m a wait-lister too..and i just mean to bring out the positive side of things..

Just Now I called to GIM office........
they told its holiday there today.......and tomorrow only v vl get some news abt confirmation of waitlisted guys.....

Hoping for a gud news 2omorrow for us all waitlisted guys....

Just a request to all those gim converts who r sure to join GIM , please join the google group for you batch (batch of 2010) ...You will meet lot of seniors also in the group.

hey anish,
are you sure about the refresher class dates......??? ..... i have been trying to get some info abt it from GIM and am not getting any apt answer...... like others, i have arranged travel plans so as to reach gim by the 18th....... can you confirm the info once again ???
