I just called up XIM B office again...
These are the details

180 calls for 120 PGDM seats...[He reiterated that this happens every year]
Also he assured me not to worry.....
The waitlist movement is counted apart from these 180 calls..
He asked me not to panic and relax...that seat was assured (WL 9).
I further confirmed this by asking that i have a confirmed admit at XYZ...I dont wanna join that and join XIM B...is it ok if i dont pay up at XYZ..He said certainly..Save up to pay at XIM B. HE laughed....
He reiterated and said this year huge overlap with XL..So waitlist might move further this year.....
He asked not to take tension and enjoy [Must say Mr. Thomas is a great person to interact with]
He also told me he`s been getting lots of calls regarding these details and asked me to assure the others to remain positive....

PS : He said students will have to get their own laptops this time...and students with Waitlist number upto a certain extent will be asked to deposit Rs. 30,000/- before 3rd week of April....

I Hope this news brings cheer to all the waitlisted puys/pals. :smile:

Refresher course.. It was there last year.. It just to clear some basic mathematics which is helpful in MBA for students who dont have mathematics in their graduation.. Last year the same was mentioned after the first letter... I think it will find a mention later...

I was also a fresher.. What you need to do is submit a letter from the principal of your college saying that you are a final year student who has just appeared in the examinations and then submit the migration certificate and marksheet at the start of your second term

Regarding your query of refund.. You will definately get a refund.. incase you dont get through.. Last year 7-8 people got through.. But I dont have exact numbers..

I am in the Second List.
I received an e-mail from GIM, but it doesnt say anything about the rank... are ranks being given out by snail-mail?
has any of the wait listers come to know their rank?
I think I also read that someone came to know of his/her rank over the fone by Ms Jennifer, but when I called up I was told that "the wait listers would be told abt their standing only after 10th april, when the initial amount has not been paid by some "x" number of confirmed listers"

@seniors,
Is there anyway by which I can know my rank?
Also, is the number of 7-8 converts from wait listers to finalists last year, a real figure or has it been just going round and has no veracity to it?

So is it just a copy of the email which they had sent earlier.... any other additional info like waitlist no???
