AFAIK there is no date and only a wait til 19th after which our drafts wil be given back

Hi all,
One thing that will be a problem for w/lr's who are working (like me) is that we have a notice period for submitting our resignation. We will not be able to pack our bags and say bbye all of a sudden, and hence this wait till 19th is not a feasible thing for us. We (who are on projects) will have to finish off formalities like Transfer of technology and all that, which will take atleast few weeks.. So please, seniors, if u can throw more light into the current situation, it would be helpful for ppl like me...
No disrespect to the Institute / its admissions process, but the state now is quite unclear..

why u thinkin soooo -ve man. see thigs havent changed much since we were given the 1st date...may b they r into some administrative hassles. even i can feel the frustration inside me...but commenting on the integrity of the insti is not done. well its quite unprofessional from their side to say "all seats has been filled" as we all know that many of the guys have opted out. dont worry one day we'll get some call and the voice will say "you have been admitted to GIM" that day will b a day of ecstacy rt. n may b the day would b tomorrow!!! hope for the best. and remember "sabr ka fal meetha hota hai" and "samay se pehle aur kismat se zyada kuchh nahi milta"

well i was about 2 come 2 this issue. i mean we all have 2 trigger our exit processes and it cant b done unless we get something concrete from the authorities of GIM. if we get the intimation from GIM a bit late then also the sessions are frm 19th june but the ppl who r in their jobs have to give a notice period of 60/90 days. and there are many legal and financial parameters that creep in during the exit processes and the associate has to deal them personally. so in tht case the student will have to run back and forth fron GIM to the place of his work.

btw this GIM thread has reached 100 pages....plzz raise ur bats!!!

Nothing against GIM dude, and neither am i questioning the integrity of the college.. there are management decisions which cant be disclosed and lets face it!

and about being optimist or a pessimist, i think, its time we be realistic, am sure for some of us, calls would come before 19th,but like, rightly said, for few of us who are working, wrapping up just a day or two before 19th is unrealistic..

moreover,there are other decisions which are on hold and with the wait being longer, the criticality of them only grow..

Try to understand the plight of students waitlisted i.e. 2nd list..
What has GIM done till now?
1) ask for 35k from people who are in second list.
2) Keep postponing the results for waitlisted students.
3) not updating the converted/waitlisted student list with who has paid fees and who hasn't
4) giving new date everytime students call on the given date
5) Not communicating the exact situation like why first delay-reason-IIM results have been delayed, etc.
6) Never giving waitlist numbers as if admission can be given in any random manner; MDI is much better in that matter--giving numbers to all who came for interviews

This actually shows that GIM admission hasn't learnt from past or have been trying new things every year which has resulted in this kind of chaotic situation. Ofcourse sweet sweet Jenny madam is not responsible but entire GIM admission office is responsible....

1) GIM should have given waitlist numbers when results are declared.
2) If they find taking phone calls of students as painful, please keep a recorded machine- in this present world, keeping recorded machine is very cheap!!
3) Put the information on website giving some genuine reason for delay.
4) Update waiting list at every new date given-- to avoid administrative hassle, don't update everyday but atleast update waitlist movement on new date.
5) Understand that People who don't send DD is equal to they reject the admission offer. This will give them "administrative hassle" of keeping track of DDs received from converted/waitlisted students.

I am not against the PGP1 & PGP2 & converted students of GIM but before they defend GIM Administration they should realise the above.

GIM has earned reputation over period of time and all such events spoil its reputation. They are acting as if this is their first PGP batch and they don't know how to maintain lists. Even a panwala is much better in administration than ...............................

Anyways, I hope sometime later, GIM Admission office gets enlightened and improve the process,making it transparent and not causing mental trauma to prospective students..

eekkkkaaccctly my situation. i have paid up fees and deposited my orignals at du.... i wil need atleast 3-4 days to withdraw my admission and get them back.... or wil gim accept me without my orignals.......thts why am being negaTIVE...fear of losing gim

but yaar lets nt discuss it amongst us now..end it over here, wait for seniors to log on and clear the mist

seniors cannot help us beyond a point , yaa. a) They are on their summer internship and b) they dont have the full info either. so about clearing the mist,well..i guess it stays...

My take on it..no other choice other than to wait tille 19th and hope..HOPE..we get a call from GIM..

for now, im moving on with my life..If GIM happens, good , if it doesnt...life doesnt end here...

Now Hats off to the positive thinkers on this thread.....Wo din kabhi to aayega...Phone kabhi to bajega :cool2: Insaan her situation main apne ko samjha leta hai and this is best possible solution for mental peace.

Now about respecting college and their admission process...GIM will gain it by prooving its admission process fair enough ..So frnds i also want to be a positive thinker hence forth and will wait till 18th june 6pm.
May God all deserving w8listers will get what they deserve.I am very sure that i will get into GIM

Yeah rt...it has always been hats off to the positive thinkers out here...and may b some w8listers like us come show our frustration and then leave again with expectation of a better tomorrow. they are fed up of the shifting dates but they know that one day surely the waitlist will move. but tamasha dekhne waalo ki bhi kami nahi hai....some are there who instead of givin valuable inputs come once in a while to this thread to drop crap over here(without either sense or humour). and its best k insaan apne aap ko hi samjha le nahi toh mummy god me bitha k samjhayegi toh nahi!!!

it's true tht the waitlist has never moved but the ray of hope is also alive and kickin. b4 questioning the integrity one shud ask themselves "kya koi chance nahi k the w8list will move" and i'm sure u guys will get some answer. and if u guys have soo many issues regarding the integrity then y not close all ur hopes man, why polluting the thread again and again. kitne aaye aur kitne gaye aur kitno ne admission process ko gaali di bt still the next yr again hell lot of ppl will apply to GIM n ur criticism n u will b lost in the crowd thanx to IT and PG...irrelevant things dont catch attention. talkin abt W******kr's or whateva....dude get a life ...kal ko IIM A aur Baburao Apte College of Management k beech mein b comparison karoge kya??? aur bhai agar call nahi aa raha toh every waitlister is waiting, and waiting patiently.......itni takleef hai to deewar mein sar fod lo na!!! its cool no...once sayin GIM has worst adm criteria and on the other hand bheekh mango k humein le lo.
