Regarding Placements,
well when my brother was in NM the quality of Placements was better but salary wise it wasn't good ,at that time NM was considered much better than MDI,SOM,IIFT and even IIM K & I coz all except IIFT were comparatively new,even the first director of IIM I was a prof from NM .NM was consistently Ranked among TOP 10 .
my bro's batch attracted companies like PriceWaterhouse Coopers(final placements),OLAM international (AFRICA),CAPITAL ONE(USA -72000$ per annum).Now CAPITAL OnE doesn't visit NM i think and for companies like CRISIL(regular recruiter from IIMs) NM was a favourite hunting ground.
though I personally think that after getting autonomous it will regain its popularity
ANYWAYs lets hope we get good placements!

Hi Every1,

Looks good to have so many people on board now...the post has got a new impetus. I have visited the institute...didn't get to see class rooms but what i really missed was gym and sports ground(assuming we will get time for these )...lot many colleges nearby...hostel was cool...4 guys in a room. Hostel manager said they are looking for flats nearby...but details are yet to be formalised...
