All said and done I would have loved to see some seniors of NMIMS to pour in their valuable inputs in this thread. They should be better judges than us (we being outsiders).

Please can you get some information from the admission dept for us regarding what is going on exactly :confused:.

And do you still feel that the precedence will be maintained and our hopes are on track( I sincerely hope so ) ?
CAn we still expect a conversion at a rank ~ 450? Or the situation is all togethar this year.

Can you please share your experience with us.
Any involvement from your side will be highly appreciated.

if any1 has any information that might effec the waitlisting process..please post them here (other than the obvious things) like IMT increasing the seats to 450.. it will help everybody out here..

i heard IIMb,IIMI have increased their seats this years...any1 could confirm this plz..,with IIM shillong coming 2 picture..anything cud be possible.

but now yest irma rslts came out and out of the blue i ve made it!!1

also would like to add
ppl are vouchin for imt s rslt
but i met 2-3 nm candidates (for 08-10) batch who have paid fees without waiting for imt (G) and are not gonna join imt even if selected.
so sorry to spoil hopes but i guess now its only upto iim and xl
coz i ve heard the same bout iit s also (except iit-powai).

Well in that case we have around 1500 seats for IIM's, around 200 for XL, SP-200, MDI-200 and 200 for IIT-B...JB-200....comes to 2500......Still a lot of movement can be expected.....Going by the past records in the 1st counselling we see 77 people pulled out due to SIBM, SCMHRD, IIFT and NITIE........assuming 200 seats for each we see 77 people pulling out of 800 seats (roughly)...10% approx.. So some movement can be expected.....Personally i believe all these statistics are crap...e.g., Sachin has an average of around 45 in ODI's but he still can get out on a duck or he may score a century....So basically just a waiting game puys.............................................. ....................

This year IMT G has given placement details explicitly mentioning that they have not taken multiple offers to a student into consideration in calculating avg salary. They have also given avg salary for each specialization. For finance the avg was 11.77 lpa. The increase in seats at IMT G is also not sure this year.

NMIMS scores over IMT G due to its location but i think apart from that both of them are at par. So some of the waitlist movement will be due to IMT G also.

And also does anyonnne have annny idea about the way Symbi's (SIBM and SCMHRD)management seats work out. Seemingly its no less than a mystery for me...(As stupid as it may sound I am kinda hoping for some movement in NM's waitlist coz of these seats as well)..

Guys me just back From NM after paying the fees for MQ..my merit no. is 304..
sum IMPORTANT piece of info..
i believe sum 20 odd ppl turned up for payment of fees..
i met the DEputy Registrar Mr Shinde at his office and he has confirmed dat

"PPL WHO HAVE TAKEN THE SEAT IN MQ, IF THEIR RANKS COME IN THE MERIT LIST, THEN THEIR ADMISSION WILL BE CONVERTED TO THE MERIT LIST FROM MQ"

I repeat...
