Hi..this is a query for all guys who were given provisional admissn earlier & have now confirmed their admissn i.e 4 ppl betn ranks 205 to 281:

Now that we have confirmed d admissn by payin d fees, wat next?...is NM goin 2 provide us with confirmed admissn letter or sumthin else(since we had got a provisional one earlier) or just wait till June 11, when d inductn program begins & directly report 2 college on 11th with d receipt of fees payment?

Lastyear upto 458, merit rank got waitlisted. and it happenned at around 13 june...but this year,nobody is sure to wat rank waitlisting will move.
everybody here is in the same boat except few who got confirmed..

just wait ,wait ,wait till All the Results of other top institutes come..

SPJAIN - 15Apr
JB - 13 June

Now you can see before the 1st counseling only 4 insti declared their results and final rank went till 281 (for 204 seats). so 77 students left after attending GD PI of NM. And with 7 results to be declared after 1st counseling, you can guess how many more will leave. :idea:

As and when the results of other insti (esp IIMs) come out, not only people who convert these insti will leave NM but also people who are waitlisted in insti like IIFT, XLRI, FMS etc will get admission there and they will also leave NM. So affect of these 4 insti is not over yet. They will still affect the waitlist movement after IIMs results are declared.

We are all panicking (including me) becus of so low 281 final rank .. we just need to have patience and i believe we will see the huge waitlist movement in april like last year.

I think XLRI people will have to pay their fees by april 15. So most of the XL converts will withdraw their admission at NM by next week. We can expect 5-10 WL movement by end of next week itself.

Hi, I am rank 299. I posted here d other day dat by mistake applied 4 MQ..since i myself cudnt go n sent sumbody on my behalf n by panicking, he applied 4 MQ..though i was against it n wanted 2 get it cancelled..but by being lucky, somehow he missed out on d list 2 enter my name n i havent been considered 4 MQ n shud b waiting 4 open merit now...though thanks 4 verifying d criteria 4 ranks 282-300...got the reply now..never 2 late..

I feel with lots of results pending still some ray of hope is there....Lets see the possibility....IMT has increased its seats from 360 to 450 this year(hope this is true..!!)...I personally met 2 of the people just before NM interview and both had a call from IMT...So i assume IMT should ease the load on NM by 20%.(i.e., around 90-100 people should go to IMT)..That moves the waiting list by another 100..i.e., it goes to around 400....(Merit Quota)...Now if we include SP Jain, JB, IIM's, IIT's and XL they have around 2000 seats in total(even more)....Hoping that they ease the load by 10% i.e., 200 seats we come to a merit rank upto 600...(Too optimistic, I agree.)...Ok lets take a figure upto 500 for merit seats...Well any suggestions????
