I think we can wait till the 2nd list comes out....What really worries me is that have they filled all the 36 seats under MQ quota in the order of merit???

I think the problem is were assuming them to be very well managed, with consistent decisions. Having attended the counselling, and the sham in the end, with all the different opinions, i sincerely regret that NM is the only top notch college in hand i have as an option to go to.

the only option all of you have is to wait, like we are at ranks between 282-300. Its an option forced upon us, and as much as you talk to them, thier word now does not matter, cuz as we have seen, it is of no value.

Hi Puys we can post our ranks and till now whether we have got confirmed admission or not. In this way ppl can guess (rather have a clear pic) till what rank guys n gals have got admission in NM.

Well I dont think that this sort of a thing is necessary. We all know that rank 281 was the last one to get the normal seat.

People here are very down due to such a low 281 final rank this time. Just to bring hopes to everyone waitlisted (including me). Summarizing from prev good posts in this thread.

Results declared before 1st counseling of NMIMS

NITIE - 20 March

Results to come after first counseling (after 26 march)

XLRI - declared

IMT-G - This week
IITB - 7Apr
IIMs - 11Apr
MDI - 14Apr
SPJAIN - 15Apr
JB - 13 June

Now you can see before the 1st counseling only 4 insti declared their results and final rank went till 281 (for 204 seats). so 77 students left after attending GD PI of NM. And with 7 results to be declared after 1st counseling, you can guess how many more will leave. :idea:

As and when the results of other insti (esp IIMs) come out, not only people who convert these insti will leave NM but also people who are waitlisted in insti like IIFT, XLRI, FMS etc will get admission there and they will also leave NM. So affect of these 4 insti is not over yet. They will still affect the waitlist movement after IIMs results are declared.

We are all panicking (including me) becus of so low 281 final rank .. we just need to have patience and i believe we will see the huge waitlist movement in april like last year.

You have a chance of getting just pray and keep your fingers crossed. It depends a lot on the fact that how many of those who are ahead of u have a chance in other better colloeges and their willingness to go there.
