Hey guys !!
For every person that says MQ seat once taken will be considered in case of any vacancy in the open quota, there is another person says that once u pay for MQ seat there s no looking back !!

Cant some 1 person get confirmed authentic information about wot exactly does the NMIMS admin have to say about it quoting the name of the person they talked to !!
It will be of great help ... It will help the fellow puys get less confused !!

Someone who has talked to the admission counseller plz throw sme light ... ASAP

Hi... as far as I have talked and confirmed, the admission office has clearly mentioned (atleast to me ) that once you have confirmed a seat in MQ (this means that once you pay up the mighty amount of 4.6) you will not be considered for Merit list... this is what I have been told... if anyone has a precise info about this being wrong, please do let me know...

Contradictory information regarding people who have been allotted MQ seats getting upgraded to Merit seats in 2 consecutive pages of this thread.. God knows what is happening !!!

yeah ur money will get refunded wen u cancel ur admission for some other college

but u r out of the merit race .......

Can some one clarify if I have applied for MQ and if no one who got the MQ withdraws his admission but the meriters opt for other colleges, does that mean i am out of both the races(Merit & MQ) . How will they decide on my fate.

I think that they will have to shift the MQ people in the Merit list if they want to have a genuine process.

if u hav applied for MQ n dont go for admission then u r still in race for the merit , whereas u pay the 4.6 lacs fees, u r in with MQ seat but out of merit race

The issue is because of the confusion whether people who have opted for MQ seats would be migrated to Merit seats or not? And there has been contraditcory information abt this in this very thread.. cat05 - Just go back to the previous page wherein a candidate with rank - 363 who applied for a MQ seat had got a call,during which they had said,he would be upgraded to a merit seat to fill vacancies arising out of cancellations and that his extra fees would be refunded in case of such upgradation !
