Yea but a lot of ppl waitlisted on the IIM, XLRI, FMS and such b-schools will vacate seats much later... so the ppl will stand a chance in may, early june as well i think

I think as soon as ppl will get a confirmation they will withdraw .. because they hv to pay fees of other colls also ... and refund of fees also takes time ..so april is when we will know exactly about the waitlist but yes may and early june will also see some waitlist movement..

Well Last year there were many students that had left NM for XIMB and vice versa just like IMT-G. So I think that shall be there in the list too.

Even the results of NITIE and FMS ...are out recently....even they wud impact for the movement of WL to some extent !!!

As many ppl following this thread would be interested in evaluating their chances of converting NM,
i wil put fwd my analysis :

Institutes whose result would surely influence waitlist movement in NM :
6 IIM's,FMS(FT),XL(BM), MDI, IIFT Delhi, SPJain(Finance/Mkt)


Institutes whose result might influence waitlist movement in NM :
FMS(MS),IIT Bombay,Jamunalal Bajaj,NITIE,SIBM,XIMB,IMT Ghz

so around 18 results can/may influence waitlist movement in NM
(my personal guess is ppl till 500 do have a chance)

ATB to all freinds hoping to get through in NM

PS : this is my personal opinion.........i may b wrong in my guesses

thr are many ppl in the community whose admission is not confirmed(rank btw 204-500), so i dont think the poll needs to be updated .....i think the ppl who hv voted on PG are those who have a confirmed seat in NM

I have a small doubt. i've already gone and deposited the fees. My counselling however is on 25th. I hope I do not have to go that day again

I trust I'm done with all formalities. NM gave a receipt for the fee payment and nothing else.

Please shed some light on this

1 important clarification - As per my talk wid a senior,the induction programme at NM staring on 10 June is not a 2-3 day affair but a whole 18-20 days affair,its not compulsory to attend it but then u need to give a solid reason to explain ur absence to NM, whatever is taught during this time is to help us gear for MBA course which begins only in July,we wont be evaluated on the assignments during induction period ....thought of clearing this up as many ppl like me who hv work ex have to decide when to put in our papers.
