I personally know someone who got in with a rank of 240. My friend told me about someone with 500+ rank making it. So I think you are in clear waters dude

Hi Puys,

Finally first and the last final call of the season. I got final rank of 152 with a score of 116 and a work ex of 2.6 yrs. So finally the race is over me with a halt at NMIMS.

Congratulations to all those who have got final and provisional call.

Also i think till rank 350, one has got real chance to get in. After that management quote will come in picture which might again stretch to another 100 rank.

And finally to those who havent got the call, do not worry guys, something much much better is waiting for you. This is not an end of journey to anyone... Hold on to ur energy and hit the barrier again with solid punch. The one who got the call are just having the day of their life. Otherwise .5 marks cant decide who is more deserving.

All the best for those who are yet to get calls. Trust youself and you will get.

Right since the beginning of the GDPI process, NM has been in controversies.
now, all those controversies and speculations come to an end.
Although, I could not make it, but am proud that i could improve 1167 ranks after the GD/PI process after scoring 20.5/30( which i guess would be among the top scores in the process).
So, i would again say, had the process not been that weird, many of us who are sad now would have been happy.
But, thats life.and it goes on as usual.Learnt a lot thru the process and i guess if i come up with the same performance in other colleges' GD/PI, I would definitely make it this year.

the point about negative marking is valid.. my only suggestion to aspirants who have converted is to go to bombay a day or 2 in advance and interact with students and ask about the course there.

the credibility may be in question when we think about the paper and the cheating that happened. however, the real scenario will only be known once we get there. plus, a highest package of 24lacs is very enticing..

anyway.. time for q/a round

question no 1) there are 240 seats.. 36 for management.. so 204.. is there further reservation for gujjus after this?? if not, then why were there so many check boxes about gujju linguistic reservation.

question no 2) please check the link which gives placements ka details.. highest package is 24lacs...whats the lowest??

Can someone please tell me, that at a merit of 182, what chances i have of Mumbai campus as out of 240, surely a lot of seats would be going into Management and Gujarati Quota. Will i be given Shirpur campus?? I am afraid coz i am keen to join Mumbai campus only.

There are 36 management seats and none reserved for gujratis from this time round. Also, Shirpur campus is probably not opening this year and anyways, all 240 seats were meant for Mumbai only. So we're left with 204 seats(all for Mumbai) and u've surely made it.... Congrats!!!

Although they don't have reservations for the linguistic minority(gujratis) this time, but regarding the checkboxes in forms, I think they went through with the same pattern as last year

You are provisionally selected for admission."@247 i think i will get an admission for MBA core. i have a final admission call from SIBM Pune. not sure whom to choose between the two though some advice in this regard wil be gr8..

though I've made into NMIMS with the final rank of 195, but I seriously doubt their process.....In written they rounded off the marks to nearest integers and here a difference of .5 marks can be a lot to anyone......I am seriously shocked by the rampant cheating in their exam and to top it all, their pathetic weightage structure......Friends no offences to those who are a part of this college, but I guess the college itself needs to know a lot about management before teaching their students....
I appreciate their process of conducting GD/PI and seriously hope from next time onwards they conduct the exam better with a better set of questions and a better system of weightage.......
Honestly speaking ,if it were not for the behemoth competition for MBA , I would have chosen not to study here and I feel this seriously.....So friends who have not made it this time don't loose heart.....It was partly bcoz of the insouciance on the part of NMIMS and partly because of a heated competition for MBA in India......I hope next time on, the college takes care of this and gives aspirants something to feel proud of (like IIFT and IIM processes)..

Although me also not qualified, but i felly very sorry for those people who had no work -ex and were with scores in the range 85-90 and whom the college merely made a scape goat to earn money while they had no chance for converting even before their process started.
I wish NM people take this as a sincere responsibility to call only that many people who have at least some chance of making it and not take the admission process as another money making process.
I also wish that these people come out with their weightages for the whole process in the brochure so that people may not waste their hard earned money in a game of gamble(at least there also u have some chance)
