In the first case, what does closing admissions then mean? Will they allow cancellation only if you get into JB and not any other college?
Logically, closure of admission process should mean no more cancellations allowed and therefore no more upgradations. Dunno what to make of whats being said but don't like the sound of it at all.

last year..there were admissions where ppl joined the college even after college has officially started. i think there would be minimum of 8-10 cancellations direct effect of jbims and full effect of IIMs result are yet to b felt..merit rank score should cross 410 with ease...

I haven't put down my papers yet because of insecurity. I know classes are starting on 23rd. Can anyone tell me if a student can miss some classes in the first week or so.. TIA...

yaar, i don think admission procedure gonna stop anytime soon.. like last yr few guys will leave for JB and few other colleges and this process will atleast go for another 1 month... that will be good for guys in line for admission.. but yeah , this is my view on whole scenario... but surely the college might not like to go with a few seats vacant...

I called NM today...and to every question I asked, the lady just reiterated, "The admissions are already done!" She was extremely blunt and firm about that...Looks like the race has come to an end..:unhappy:

@Whatsthefussaboutude the admission can't be possibly over before JB comes out with their results... Every year there is a repetition of this... and people get called even after the classes have started.... And the counselor should be the last guy to blurt out all this... so she too can't be at fault....
But I would say the race is far from over... people on tenterhooks.. Please sit tight... NM is sure to slip some 10 ranks atleast...

hi all .. guys dont loose hope after so much patience .. classes may start and joining late one may have to suffer like anything but just imagine you will be passing out the very same year as those who joined earlier .. :chillpill:

its the end which really matters and not the race ..

so be optimistic and do NOT loose hope ..

<i agree wid tht... i was thr today to pay my fees n the calls kept comin Mr Shinde was very blunt sayin admissions wil close by 23rd n d chances of the list movin are bleak... while i was thr he recievd atleast 3 calls n gav the same reply! itsabhi u too calld nah... ( 606) n he tld u tht d calls r givn out only til 568 tho i was rite thr wid my form for admission ( 571)
