Spear headed by Arjun Singh, Congress and other smaller supporting parties, they had fought for the Quota just to reserve the SC/ST/OBC vote bank...

In my opinion, Quota is needed by down trodden , below poverty line guys... Make a all india survey and create a list of people below poverty line... Give them required reservation in School, Colleges etc. Go and build new colleges for them as they are the one who need upliftment..No they will not do that.....

If they are giving reservation to SC/ST/OBC then why a poor family in General Category suffer. This poor guy in general category have no money to study and does not have any reservation also which might help him to uplift himself in society.... naah all this Quota thing is bullshit.... Sorry for the hard words, cant help though...

I hope NMIMS is away from all this screwed up policies...

Guys in waitlist, this certainly is a bad news for all of you and i hope none of u get affected... One thing is for sure that if IIMs delays its result or try to accomodate new guys, without increasing the batch strenght,then lots of guys waiting for other colleges will be affected.....

for d ranks upto which MQ n merits were called, mr. shetty jus mentioned same thing which was already mentioned in the thread - 551 (for MQ) and 371 for merit...

for other questions, he said it depends on d number of cancellations..he seemed to b immersed in too many tasks simultaneously....Results for some of d courses was 2 b put up online, so he dint seem too interested to answer...der were 4 of us whose docs were verified in a jiffy in d same room simultaneously (out of time constraint, i guess)...

I was browsing orkut community.I came to know that some people recieved some welcome letter on 23rd may.Its regarding some rules and regulations in NMIMS,dos and donts etc.

we had this point come up a few posts earlier
some of the guys who had confirmed admision in d first place have receivd the letter

none of the ppl who were waitlisted and then confirmed got this mail

Registration : 10.15 am – 11.00 am

• Carry at least 10 copies of your passport size photographs ( as you would need them for completing various administrative formalities, such as for receiving Identity Card, Library Card, opening of Bank Account , etc.).
• Make a few sets of your important papers/ documents, such as identity papers, etc. and carry in separate luggage ( in case stolen or lost).
• Carry your medicines for daily use/ and some medicinal items such as aspirin, cough drops, etc. Preferably may carry a first aid kit.
• Bringing an umbrella would be an ideal choice , as rain starts from early June and lasts till September end.
