Hey puys, one thing I would like to draw your attention to is that: Nobody still now has posted their cancelations in the NMIMS cancelations thread postt IIM results :(..... This was not to be :(.... I mean, there should be some overlaps between IIM and NMIMS converts... I think we are missing them largely in our cancelations list...
So puys, let get to work and request the IIM converts to update their status (if they had a NM call) in the cancelations thread.
Do we have a few helping hands in this novel work

Hi guys,first of all i am sorry that m posting so late.Actually could not find time to sit on net for past 3 days.nyways,here i am::
I deposited my fees on 2nd May.4 ppl turned up:
1)amitbaweja-307(Thats me;& i never applied for MQ seat,coz a few threads before a confusion was there)
2)sandita.d-308
3)mayank jain-529(MQ)
4)Rank 527(Dunno name)

Some saliant points which i want to discuss.U might be knowing a few of these but just in case::

• Foundation Course is commencing from 23rd June,not from 11th June.The news is confirmed by Mayank & then by me.
• Rank 304 got upgraded to Merit Seat.
• Between rank 300-420 i asked how many people are there who applied for MQ seat,Mr.Jangam told that around 15 people are there.(I could not see the list myself but i guess it can be assumed as 15)
• What Mayank has posted about MQ seats,that 35 are filled is absolutely correct.
• I have opted for hostel & the guy in the administration dept told that hostel is available as of now but it might get filled in a due course of time so the guys till rank 313 who are goin to deposit fees on 9th,i would like u to call NMIMS & tell them to direct to the hostel person,& get the first hand info.
• I saw the hostel & met a senior also there.As such i found it a decent place to live,only concern is 4 ppl in a room,but thats wat we have to do,manage...Coz the biggest advantage of Hostel is that it is at a walking distance from NM.
• When asked about the expected waitlist movement,Mr.Jangam told that till 350,the list is expected to move swiftly.
• About JBIMS,i would like to add that there is a movement due to JBIMS of around 5-8 seats every year,as per seniors.
• About Laptops,the senior told that he himself has bought Dell from NM & its the best deal coz of the fast replacement if some trouble is there& u get the best deal in terms of both config & money.
• This year foundation program will most likely contain Statistics & Communication Skills & its always helpful to attend the same.

Hi everyone...had been out of town hence no posts from me.

I havent received any mail as of yet so I called up NM a while back and that's when I came to know what screwed up luck I have! This time around the MQ call(s) ended at RANK 537 :(

But at the same time he asked me to be ready with all the documents and the DD and said that the next review will be done on 9th(Friday)...so seems like next slot of MQ calls will be dispatched on Saturday and moi will b called :-)

Dude as i saw hostel was ok.I mean the room is not suffocated,has a balcony behind it.The toilets were pretty clean with marble flooring.Plus every floor had a fridge & washing machine.I said na its worth living,only thing is it is not worth 95 k with 4 ppl in a room..But one can definitely live there 4 an year & can shift in flat next year,thats wat most of the ppl do.Dude in flats also there will be lot many issues,s.a electricity bill,water bill,advance deposit,food,maintenance,etc.So it depends upon person to person to weigh both advantages & disadvantages & then decide.
As far as girl's hostel is concerned,its pretty good to live..(Mardo pe atyachar :icon_cry

One more thing i would like to share,i met with a lady on airport,who passed out of NMIMS 11 years ago.She was sayin that U have made the right decision to join NM & it was a very good college that time only so today its value is increased only..She is presently workin in Barclays,got placed in Titan from NMIMS.So,cheers...

Anyone having a sure shot idea as to what is the last rank that has been called?

I tried calling NMIMS, and asked a lady who was on the phone, she was quite rude and refused to divulge any such info, and eventually hung up on me:icon_cry:
Tried callin again, but the fone is too busy....(Hopin ppl callin in to cancel their seats..)
