Puys I don't think that people will opt for NM over MDI for whatever be the reason. Specifically addressing to avinav's post: Dude, we are hearing that the NM hostel is already full. So U have to put up in a appartment. But You cant get this included in teh educational loan. So U have to shell out the expense urself ~2Lacs atleast. So if U can shell out that much, I am pretty sure U will be able to shell out 1L for MDI :sly:. Moreover I feel that they will come out wid lower interest rate or soem measures to offset this fee hike.. They can also feel the reparcation of this move.
So all said and done, puys will still opt for MDI over NMIMS, no matter what they write over here... Its the end decision that matters.... Abd for tat matter even IIM S scores above NM

whatever u said is quite correct... but it is non transparency in their decision that is making many ppl angry.
And as you have said that it is the final decision that matters...
If you have slightest doubt that I am writing it here to mislead... please dont misunderstand and be assured that puys will be first to know about every decision...

@Andy: Hey dude I did not mean any offence.. I beleive me I am religiously following the MDI thread to get a feel of what people are saying. I could not agree more to what you said that tehre is lack of transparency in MDIs process. 100% true... But dude, honestly tell me, after everything said and published and say that they also arrange some bank tie ups (or saomething some thing:sly: it can be any measure MDI deem suitable), will people come to NM leaving MDI??... I seriously doubt this.. All will all shrug off their disappointment (a la kiss and make up stle) and go on to join MDI... The same folk will be there in the PG thread (MDI batch 2009-11) next year to defend another weird decision, that may come up next year too (Sorry for being more imaginative and at times critical)..

The banks have already started to think about extending the edu.loan limit further to 15L or 20L for education in Indian colleges.Moreover, there will be hardly anyone who thinks that 1Lac is any big amount to leave a college like MDI as the returns are so much assured that even if it were 5L one should not stop.

So those who are anxious about being trapped due to loan need not worry. It requires only one bank to initiate the move and others will follow the suite, Most probably the bank to step ahead is the SBI so need not worry at all.

even i agree to the above debate of mdi vs nm that mdi scores much above nm in all aspects.. a few lakhs dont matter in the long run and the beautiful campus n hostel life mdi has cannot be compared at all with nm..
