@manmeet: My rank is 361. I have not applied for MQ though...
Keep patience man, hum sab ka ho jayega.. One of my frnds passed out frm NM this year.. and he was tellling NM is always a bit slow in thiis front.. add to that the summers (1st year) and the money refund thing.. and (how can I forget :sly that IIM results are still pending ....
he was saying that things will speed up only in May... And the patters should go more or less like last year (if not more)..
so sit tight...

304 - 422.. there would be 8-10 ppl in this range and they would push the MQ list after they get converted to merit.

Anyone visiting NMIMS for admission or staying in Mumbai, try to get a list of candidates who have opted for MQ in this range.
Or if anyone reading this post who has taken up MQ seat please login/signup to update the same.

A small spoilsport from my side :(.... The NM guys are not disclosing how many cancelations there have been till date :(.. and on top of that they are also not letting it know how many are not accepting the seats being offered now. So everything seems to be shrouded in mystery..
Wheen my friend enquired about the number of cancelations, he was denied information. But the adm office said, there was quite a number (BUT WHAT???) of canc and hey are expecting some more (For God's sake)... So chillax...

I dont think that we can gather the list of guys betwn 300-400 who had applied for MQ.

The best solution is that we have to go on asking people and tabulate the results. Thats why we keep on requesting the call getters, please respond to the forum...
A request to all those who are getting to hear the good news from NM and those who are waiting for it: Please share any nformation (however insignificant it may sound) to the forum...
Please remember that You were also in the same boat someday :sly:
Please help in knotting a closer batch 08-10 .... The onus is on everyone

just 8-10 MQ seats between ranks 304-422 is too less.. if u remember - the 1st MQ list closed at rank-424.. And if u had followed this year's thread and last year's thread,roughly around 20-25 ppl had been called in the first MQ list.. So upgradation from MQ to merit seats should push up atleast 15-18 seats by worst case,provided merit list moves till rank-422.. So people with high ranks waiting for MQ seats - dont lose hope early.. We need to wait till rank - 420,430 odd MQ to get upgraded to merit - only then MQ rank would reach higher end of 600,700,etc... Last year guy with rank - 430 odd was admitted only during june.. So if the same trend were to continue this year too,people with 600+,700+ ranks - definitely need to wait that long for anything decisive on their MQ status.. And this is just April with no IIM results announced till date.. So the wait could only be longer.. But I dont think things are over and one should be losing hope...

Guys who are goin to submit fees this saturday (amit baweja n othrs) kindly update answers of few queries here....(dey mite giv betr answers in person dan on phone)...

1) How many cancellations as of now in the merit list and MQ ?
2) What is the xpected movement in both of the categories ?
3) Is there any hostel vacancy now ? (As I think if dere are no more hostels den probably pep gotta stay dere for few days n luk for flats nw only dan cumin arnd 10th june)...
4)Number of ppl who have taken up MQ seats in the range 300-420. (at least an approximate no. )

Try ur tricks to get d answers frm dem aftr al v r gonna b phoodu managers soon ...

Any othr query plz add here ....

As MDI is probably increasing their fees by max 40%,
there will an impact on waitlist movement of NM...
Since there will be some who will seriously think about return on investment if the fees are increased.
I have paid fees in NM, after the news of fees hike at MDI.. i am seriously thinking about not joining MDI even if i convert...

I dont think so that will affect any movement in NM..
You can always get educational loan easily.. and MDI is worth the fees it wil take I guess..
Its among the top most B school and dnt think so any1 wud leave MDI just for the fees...

see yar ROI is a thing which is not quite relevan when u do MBA from good colleges
frankly speaking brand value of MDI is more than NMIMS
and it effects in long run
and anywyas ROI is a short term thing the salary packages u get are for life and they keep on increasing 3 4 years down thee line u will think of career not ROI
this is not some business this is career dude

MDI and NM are quite near in brand value but still MDI is better

in long run MDI may be better only i dont have this coice but stil dont worry about all this ROI stuff man this is just distractive things
