Anyways , i have a friend at NMIMS who talked to Mr Shinde. According to him, admission authorities are busy wid NMAT Sectoral admissions and will give a call to waitlisted candidates only by the end of this week.
Lets hope for the best! | ridiculous post ! :X
I was there in the counselling till late and h'ble registrar told us LOUD AND CLEAR that all those who haven't come to the counselling are not eligible for admission any longer.
If you are so sure about your statement then I suppose you won't find it too troublesome to give us the 'source' of ur enlightenment ! | | | | | The Following 8 Users Say Thank You to raunak_pagaria For This Useful Post:

Reading all the previous posts, I think Mr.Shinde if he actually said that the WL will only move by 25-30 seats does not know what he is talking about, because if we consider that about 2000 seats including IIM's, SPJAIN, MDI, JBIMS are still undecided, 25-30 just sounds a very small number, I think it should move by atleast 150 seats......
Also people who think that there might be some amount of manipulitation on the no. of seats, for an AICTE approval, I feel that can only be done on the MQ seats and not the MERIt seats, because honestly speaking Merit seats are not at their descrition, they have to submit factsa dn figures to AICTE for the Merit Seats....
So don;t worry guys the Merit List has to move no matter what MR.Shinde says....

i wud completely agree with u wen u say that its ur personal opinion
coz for all the reasons u stated above , i dint find much substance, my first impression is that u are just trying to justify ur choice to urself
bcoz..... u said
NM has better placments --> NM avg = 11.4L IMT avg = 11L
(these figures, any bschool grad or industry insider will tell u are inflated)
better industry exposure,location advantage -->
NM is in Mumbai , IMT G is like 15 KM from Delhi
is 15-20km too much for a location disadvantage???????
bigger brand name --->> this is based on pure perception, bcoz NM takes a seperate exam and all IIM,MDI rejects(sorry!!! for choice of word) go to IMT, so the brand name in terms of industry ppl and students is slightly better for IMT as the students are judged using CAT score which holds a better perception than NMAT
and i hav stated it earlier that a quality campus life is is difficult to get at NM as compared to IMTG
and ofcourse it this again is my personal opinion !!!!!!! | | | | | The Following 6 Users Say Thank You to cat05 For This Useful Post:

and ofcourse it this again is my personal opinion !!!!!!! | some fatcs :
IMT is not 15 km from delhi, i hv spent 22 years in Noida ,IMT is atleast 25-30 kms from New Delhi,it may b 15 kms from delhi border but the companies are in Gurgoan or central/south delhi which is atleast 1.5 hrs drive (> 30 kms fr sure)
IMT has avg of 8.6 for the whole batch,11.77 for Fin (chk ur facts buddy )
,though i dont judge a coll by avg sal ,still better to clear ur facts, i judge it by d companies which visit d campus
i again reatriate, those wr my personal views.......i posted just for the benefit of ppl in waitlist that they shud not raise false hopes and i didnt mean to malign IMT at all( even i went for GD PI thr so it means i hv no disrepsect for IMT).......
u r most welcome 2 dump NM for IMT , its ur choice, i hv made mine, its NM for me
lets not get in2 a childish fight.......all d best at IMT.......i wont comment further.....peace buddy

M not here to add fire to this; but I do have a string feelings that there will be some sharing of seats between NMIMS and IMT (even if all of the common guys don't go to IMT). IMT does carry a bigger brand name in North and East India. And frankly dude, NM might be a force to reckon with in Mumbai but its not on everybody's lip everywhere.
I dont want to go deep into the salary figures for I have friends who are in NM now and atleast they wont say that NM is better (or for that matter inferior) than IMT.
So its all left to personal choice .... The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to abhrabumba For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
