hi ankit, we understand your feelings...many of us have gone through the same stage of rejections and screwed written exams. however some of us have been lucky enough to get through some where. and i think there is absolutely nothing in your post that would make anyone groan, at the end of the day all of us want that every meritorious student gets through a place of his/her choice and definitely we don't endorse donation practices followed by many private institutions in the country.

One imp information!!!!

Till now we all were under the opinion that people from rank 282 are the only ones who r waitlisted but this is not the starting rank.
There are guys wid rank <282 who are waitlisted as well. These are the ones who attended the counselling but cud nt arrange the loan.

Such candidates will be given preference for the waitlist.

Anyways , i have a friend at NMIMS who talked to Mr Shinde. According to him, admission authorities are busy wid NMAT Sectoral admissions and will give a call to waitlisted candidates only by the end of this week.

Lets hope for the best!

ya puys, help me out on dis....total 240 seats...36 MQ seats...so 204 merit quota seats...n 281 calls...so we still have 77 ppl left widout a seat...so apparently d nm guys are xpecting 77 ppl atleast to not join or withdraw...so until these 77 ppl get out f d way(figuratively speakin), ppl wid rank frm 282 onwards are nt goin nywhere(in nm i.e.)...so do tell me if what i've been typin till nw is correct or not...gracias...:lookroun::lookroun::lookroun:

hey the 77 guys you all are talking abt, i believe only a few are loan cases.. most of them opted out and are not going to come back.... and again wait till the results of IIMs to come and then there definetly will be a waitlist movement... as you all can see, IIT Mumbai has already moved a few of us here...

So guys be calm for few days.. My bet is that till 350 everyone gonna get in normal seat.. it can go beyond that too like last year...

And to puys talking about seats getting sold off.. Even in case its true.. and this one of story is famous for every B school in this level... But still guys are getting admission on merit and m sure you guys gonna get it too... cheers

Well rohini I dnt think that the pep below 282 rank wld b considered again.
As they have been given a certain period of time to pay the fee and if thats over whc implies that particular candidate is nt interested enough or lost the chance. If that wld nt have been the case, say after a month sumbody wid say rank in top 50s cums n say no I had a problem that time wid the money kindly admit me before givin the chance to other waitlisted candidates.
Morover i think pep have been given sufficient time to pay the fee so the chances of pep cumin back wid an excuse that nw i have got d money is less.

Hope this wld be true..

well i believe that if the process goes genuine we surely will get the chance because i expect a lot of movements since seats in the range of 1200 is no joke and will surely have great effect of the range of few hundreds in these institutes because most of those who r in institutes like NM, MDI, SPJ, IMTG must surely be having calls from these and many would be moving amongst these also, i expect the number to be HUGE
