Good to see tht forum is bck to its normal mood after some individualistic utter nuisance grabbin attentn for few daysss......
First of all... congrats to all MY JUNIORS(I can call all of you as mine..isnt it ).. since all of u r part of NIFT now..so i thought lemme hv a word with all.....some usual senr junr gyaan wch I thought mite be necessary for all of you.........

• First things first.... Dont lose your passion.(I know ...dis line is quite cliche n old nowww) but dis is bound to happen. Happened with me after I joined NIFT...happnd to all others too. As I've already mentioned in mah old posts..... NIFT's sarkari attitude trickles down to everyone. To start with... make n kp urself updated about industry happenings, various companies, job profiles, options for internships n degree projects etc etc. Options may or may not be plenty and thr will b ppl (including faculties) to compete as well as misguide you.... so kp ur eyes n mind open...
• It helps alot in this industry if you have good PR skills. I'm not talking about knowing ny bigshots (you're lucky if u know) but knowing ppl who are part of industry alwaz helps. In case you are not satisfied with company sourced by NIFT for your interns/job, you can alwaz try on your own. And anywaz.. a you must have read in NIFT brouchure, you're supposed to source graduation project on your own, though NIFT also invites companies to campus for d same but mah advice is to go for your preferences and source it as it might help you in fetching your desired profile/domain/company. Its not tht big deal as it sounds, many ppl source it easily with help of immediate as well as other super senrs.
• Don't get ragged by UG ppl. It gives them a huge kick, ragging someone who is older n senr to them. Stand for your dignity and position. Your senrs should help on dis, and if not..then also....you will remain senr to them nywaz. Don't compromise on your self respect..no matter what happens. But yeah/... treat your immediate senrs as senrs....they will become your frnds anywaz after 2-3 months. Callin sir/ma'm to someone for few months wont make u smaller but certianly you will gain alot in return. (Dont wanna spark a controversy here in case someone isn't game about dis ... so plz bear)
• It helps if you hv good grades but grades r not everythng. I hv seen 9 pointers ending up vth avrg jobs while 6 pointers gettin good profiles. Its all about your caliber n attitude in d end. Just wanna say... CGPA isnt everythng. I hv seen ppl breaking thr friendships n bondings jst for dis stupid cgpa. So dont let your career/life revolve around it.......

is there second round of counselling?..in case seats are vacant in few centers?

@ Cho-jee...well they are calling ppl for seats vacant in patna...but there would be no 2nd counseling......i have been told to go to patna and deposit the fees and start!!
But its better u call NIFT and check...coz i think you talking about swapping centers...right???

Anyways all the best....today NIFT starts 4 all u Puys!!!!!

hi,,ya it may be under maintenance but keep checkin it, and yes exam wud be around feb... note that this thread is dead now, was started last year,, it has valuable information though...
