This was the placement information provided on the website of NIFT, Gandhinagar.......

Also, the placement has really been affected since past year and the main credit goes to Rupee appreciation against Dollar which has adversaly affected the export scenario of India in all sectors.....but this appericiation stuff is likely to be controlled in next one or two years and by that time only, we will be ready for our placement !!!!!!!!

So guys and gals don't be worried about the palcement stuff just give your best shot!

There's a real goood News for all of uu... As I told u some time back, I had some friends in NIFT doing the Management and design space.. I called one today from NIFT Delhi and asked him abt the couse and future prospects... He said the course is really good and had very good prospects... He is currently doing internship at GAP.. He rated it better than any TOP MAT institute.. He also said that every second or third person he has met during his interns is a NIFTian... The drop in placements is a temporary scenario but the future is bright...

All this talk has definitely cleared any iota of a doubt I had.. I am going for NIFT SLAM... BANG... With No doubts left there in my mind at all... See u guys at NIFT during councilling...

hey hi there..ya partially its true that i ve a gud job goin so i m droppin out but the main reason is that i ve till date 1 year exp at Raymond that too in retail n SAP so wat kind of jobs i l be getting after doin a course from nift is i m already doin..moreover i m fetching a package of 3.0 right now, in two years down line if i struggle in gud manner through jumps to various companies i can get a better package of around 5 or some which is the avg package of nift.i ve already started prep for CAT n hope to crack it down with gud percentile.Also the thing is that after doin a MBA the prospects are versatile which is not the same with nift.My bhabhi is last batch pass out of nift management she also suggested me to go for MBA as nift has lost its charisma in past few years as gud faculties have backed off.SO it has affected the placements also as those people had gud contacts with the industries.some of my frenz are also studying in the present batch of nift management, they also advised that come to this institute only if u wanna stay in fashion industry or else go for MBA and dat will help u more.......so all u guys out there all the best for nift !!!!!!!

guys i completely agree with shreya... look we all had a fair idea what the course was gonna offer us and the pay pack and stuff... yes i do understand that u guys are looking at things more carefully and ur future is at stake... but then why didn't u guys do this when u applied for the course??? come on yaar... we all knew all this... i dont think u guys were so shocked... in any industry u have to be absolutely passionate abt the job... u cant take things easy anywhere... now i thought that most of us ahd applied for this course b'coz we all liked the fashion industry and were looking forward to be a part of it... so like shreya said

Requesting all..not to follow advice given by a SINGLE individual..certain individual mite be successful/unsuccessful.....tht doesnt makes an insti/course superb/crap respectively.... follow ur inner voice..n as we say ... "Suno sabki, karo mann ki".....


We all know... Not all fingers r alike...Even when we look at top b-skools.... thrz grt deal of difference in top/avrg/bottomline of d batch... same thumb rule applies everywhr.... not everyone is equally successful.....


Look inside...ponder upon..what r ur priorities, ur career goals, capabilities and desires to excel......and decide upon....its a mater of life for all of you...


On a personal note..im feeling bad for all d junrs... initial exctmnt is compltly missing nw frm d posts..n mst of u sound confused n shocked....

Anyone who needs ny support before/after counselling....even after joinin d course.... r mst welcome...my mail id is thr on one of mah older posts... feel free to get in touch... I would love to clarify al sort of doubts for one n all ....

Well..reason why I ventured into branding was.. 1st...i was alwaz quite pasisonate abt it..n 2nd..if u r into branding..u r nt industry specific anymore... now i hv freedom to move into any domain/industry....

Usually ppl r passionate abt joiin ad agencies (even i was)...but its nt a fruitful option as pay scales r pretty low n growth is nt so significant.....wch i realized when i was pursuing dis course..n hence decided to join any good brand... Thru some NIFT senrs i sourced mah project in Lee and then got job offer after completion....

Presetnly Im handlin Loyalty ptogram, web based promotions & new age media for d brand....

overall..its a dynamic profile to hv...every day is a new day for me....we kp on doing lots of new innovative thngs regularly....

i hv read in many posts abt ppl saying ....dis course doesnt hv future n growth.... but all i wanna say.. i was alwaz an avrg student....6 pointer types...n if i can make it..im sure many more like you guyz can.....so dnt b misguided..if u R FOCUSSED N PASSIONATE...u will get wht u want....

Most probably you will get hyderabd, gandhingr, kolkata, chennai n patna..in d order.....
wud suggest u to prefer hyderabad.... n if u wanan go..gandhingr is also nt a bad option....
but ya...at hydbd...industry is almst nil..u hv full time faculties who r egoistic.....n ur results depend upon them.... gandhingr is relatvly new but hv decent visiting faculties...

Take ur time..u still hv ample of time left........
