Thanks puys for the response… MY OPINION: Ok the topic is left is right… well I am not really able to deal with this topic, but yeah one point that came to my mind is: ppl who are ambidextrous are said to have two right hands… so here, left is right… Another point is, our heart is on the left side and its always right.. so again left is right…. I think some more ppl should put in their views… only then will we have more perspectives…

; Entrepreneur - someone who undertakes a venture and takes accountability for all the risk; Further, as his personal values may be, he can be a Social Entrepreneur of a MArket one, offering, product or service to generate profit or social benefit and probably a mix... of both.
Manager - well ......... what most of us are aiming for ; A guy who either does not have the courage to go the Entrepreneur way or start on its own that is or maybe thats just not his calling.... U become a manager either step by step in a company ... or the MBA way. U BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR THE MOMENT U HAVE AN IDEA AND DECIDE TO REAP IT , again could be to satify, your own creative needs, ambition, money needs Or Social benefit

Before, we talk about the freedom of media i would like to invite guys to share their views over how they see media as ... and and on what values or principles does press operate upon ; as i see, and is not a very positive view ;
Press is a Corporate body which operates on basis of Profit and employees working towards their respective goals............. now its in this context i wish to talk about Freedom of media --- Do we mean Media is free to do anything, capture anything on camera, in tape to bring down scandalous people ranging from Street constables, to a saadhuwala from some remote corner of india to our own elected politicians Whose freedom are we taking about- You simply cant view media as one single entity, freedom of a journalist or of his immediate boss or the Corporate head who mingles with who's who of society ......... thanks..

Puru and Shuru, both from Jaipur have been working in Yahoo, Bangalore for about five years and are well versed in development of websites. They also had a PGSM (Post Graduate in Software management) degree from IIMB. With great ambition of starting on their own, they decided that real estate was the area where they can do something. The Indian real estate market had boomed in India in the past 3-5 years with prices at Bangalore, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Hyderabad etc doubling in the past one year itself. Similarly the online business in India was also booming with Internet coming of age. More people were using internet to gather information and also buy from the internet.
They hit upon an idea to make a website catering to all the real estate needs of people. It would include rentals and sale of properties and would avoid the broker in between. They felt that they would also be able to attract lot of advertisements from the top builders. Though they were bullish, they wanted to be cautious while making large investments as they had seen some of their friends burn their fingers. So they decided to hire about 8 people to start with and registered a website.
Now they had two questions in their mind....
1. What should the location be? While Puru argued for Bangalore, Shuru really wanted to something for his hometown Jaipur and also thought it was a cheaper option
2. Should they go for a Venture Capitalist to raise money. Puru argued that the money it takes to start is not much considering their resources. Shuru said that though that was true, they need not gamble with their money when there was someone ready to invest
PuYs wake up and lets discuss this case study NOW!! | Hi guys,
Sorry for delay in posting my response....have been a bit busy with some other stuff....though was constantly checking the updates by u Vermona Dhanashree and Freedomformind....Great job buddies..thanks 4 keeping the spirit alive!!
I see i have a lot of homework to do now.....so getting started with the real estate case study- (Case Study 2) (This will be my first...actually 2nd case study analysis so please let me know ur inputs)
It goes like this - IIM B Grads Puru and Shuru- 've been working since 5 yrs with Yahoo- decide to enter the real estate business thru internet. They have to decide on a location for the venture and if they have to go for a VC. For location we have to consider what factors influence the choice between the two(Jaipur and B'lore) and evaluate them. The factors could be cost, target market and advertiser location.
Location : In my opinion there's always an advantage of starting a project from a place where u know the most about and have your resources to get u all the needed info, In this case Jaipur being their hometown does offer only this advantage but being sentimental like Shuru wont help.So from the business point of view B'lore offers them a wider scope as its an IT hub....it has loads of opportunities for real estate business so Puru's opinion stands better.
B'lore attracts a lot of migrators for work and real estate business is booming, Secondly people in B'lore are more tech savvy, so for them B'lore as the base for sale and purchase of property is a better idea.
One thing i missed but is very important is : Website based sales and purchase need a lot of promotion and advertising so Puru and shuru have to do a lot of spade work first to attract the potential buyers and sellers.... they will have to run a very strong promotional campaign
Now to point 2- Venture Capitalist :Venture capital is a type of private equity capital typically provided by professional, outside investors to new, growth businesses. Venture capital investments are generally made as cash in exchange for shares in the invested company. A venture capitalist is a person who makes such investments.Venture capital can also include managerial and technical expertise. The downside for entrepreneurs is that venture capitalists usually get a say in company decisions, in addition to a portion of the equity.
So I believe that they should go with Shuru's suggestion and bring in Venture Capitalists as this will cover the risks and provide them with start up capital for sure....and expertise on setting up the business and carrying it fwd.
That was my response and what came to my mind...though no new thoughts....sorry....will try to be more innovative in next case study! Regards, Sugun Take a Method and Try it....if it fails, admit it frankly and Try another....but above all, Try SoMeThInG!!

I feel that the topic depicts the chaotic state of things in this country...for me its just like today wrong is right.......with our changing moral standards.....everything is going for a toss. So "left is right" is whats going on around us....I feel that with corruption proliferating into our very roots, we dont feel ashamed of doing wrong anymore.....today we openly ask for and give bribes. Everybody tries to outsmart, befool and cheat eachother....Today right is left and Left Is Right!!
Hey....2 more points came to my mind -
1. In countries like US and almost all European countries Left is right...(driving sense)
2. On a lighter note....Left is right for the minority coalition government; specially when the elections are close!
wattya say??? Regards, Sugun Take a Method and Try it....if it fails, admit it frankly and Try another....but above all, Try SoMeThInG!!

Hi guys..here's a new case study..
An American(A) Executive flew to Tokyo to land a contract with a Japanese co. He told his boss that he wud b back in a week with the contract in hand. On monday, his 1st day in Tokyo, his Japanese counterpart (J) invited him to play golf. They played, and A won the game by a couple of strokes. The next day, A expected to have a business meeting but J wanted to play golf again. They did, and A won again. When his host suggested the game the next day, A blurted out in frustration, "But when are we going to start the business?" His host was taken aback, responded "but we have been doing business!"
As it turned out, they started meetings on the 3rd day and a contract was signed on sunday, but the American was in such a hurry to complete the contract in a week's time that he conceded a no. of points.
Analyze the case and according to you how should have the American proceeded ?? Regards, Sugun Take a Method and Try it....if it fails, admit it frankly and Try another....but above all, Try SoMeThInG!!
