hey arpit n everybody.

I can see n feel ur concern... It is better to be optimistic in life.. But not always, n not at all when it is a matter of ur two precious years which will decide ur future...

I was also a dude like you who was always optimistic n life, was damn crazy about joining nift, but nothing went good.. I was not the only odd one out but there was a whole lot, our whole batch, our seniors, n everybody..

Before joining nift,i did my b.tech in textiles which made my interest in doing fashion mangt... I was so very crazy n studied very well, spending a lot for tutions, n working very hard...

I scored a gud rank and joined nift mumbai.. i worked very hard, because then i got to know that it was not a gud institute n i too felt that where have i landed...

It was 2 years before that i completed my course... I was very hard working n got great grades...

after doing so much, then also i did not received any benefits...

I finally got placed with a mere package of 2.5 in Ankita Overseas.. I was amongst the top students on the basis of merit list..I am working as a merchandiser.

majority of the students could not find any job for themselves... It was just 2 years back... I had some friend in other centres n they had the same situation.

Soon after joining the company, I realised, that there is no growth, untill today, it is the same situation.. After 2 years of experience, my package has increased to a mere 3.0... this is what we call as the result of pursuing mftech mangt from ur great institute NIFT...

Guys,
I dont know why all of you are panicking so much.. Simple funda hai yaar.. If you are passionate and if you know that you are good in this field, then you should def. go for this course.. General MBA mein bhi you have option of specialising in Mktng/finance etc.. Now that you know what you like and what you are good at, then no point in beating around the bush na!! Take this course and hone your skills... MBA n FMS mein confusion ka sawal hi nahi aata yaar, if you are focussed..
Secondly, about the job market scene.. As rightly said by some1, there is global slowdown and all sectors have equally been f**cked up!! And aise scenario mein you have to really prove yourself, no matter what organisation you are working for and no matter in what field you are - fckd up job market & increase in competition demands you to prove urself.. so might as well do what you are good at, koi tumhe takkar de hi nahi sakta phir!!
Imagine an engineer made to do a docs job.. he will fail.. he will fail not bcz he is a loser, he will fail just bcz he is nt good at it, he is good at somethin else and he excels at tht... And also, things are gonna improve, its a matter of time, trust me, its the best time to study, cz jab tak we will done wid our course, things will have been improved outside, and we will feel blessed to be sane enuff to stick to our decision and take the right move..
So guys, trust yourslf and chase your dream, pursue something that you are passionate about and you aspire to become...

We should anyways, thanks seniors for sharing their experience and showing us the pic from a diff. angle and also appreciate their concern..

Hi evrybdy!!

I am back after a long dormancy, bt been following all the action regularly.

Guys I just wanna say, "Don't comment ona road till you drive on it. And be capable enough to pull urself out if you get stuck."

I am presently placed with the biggest real-estate consultant in the world drawing a package of 50K per month. Still I wanna go for this course. Wen I did my BBS from DU, this very company took me in for a meagre 20K p.m. a year back.

I guess what commands ur value is what you able to deliver than what course or degree you have pursued. I personally want to be in the league of exporters, though I have no knowledge. And any slump is temporary. Nobdy can discount India in the coming times & the opportunities it will have on offer.

Hey I got Rank 96 & my counselling is on 17th, 2:00 p.m. Who all of you do I get to meet there?? Do lemme know.
