I apologize to say that it is the same with all the centres... It does not provide gud n 100% placements...


Its brand name, goodwill everthing is fake!!! It is a myth not reality...
First of all, when I joined, it seems to be great but later on I realised that there r no facilities, cost was shoting up high but it was not worth...

Accomodation costs, no gud faculty, then I learned that even no gud placements.. I managed to secure my placement but many of were friends who were very gud in their studies n activities, could not get placed...

I thought I was lucky to get placed... But bad luck... When I joined the company, I soon realised that it was bad luck again... there was no future growth, reason being the course being very limited to its subject and simply no practical life. There is no job security... I managed to cope up but nothing lasted long.. Then I realised that it was better to do an mba than to pursue M.FTECH management..

I think it is better to appear for CAT or any other management exam rather to pursue MFTECH management... rest is your choice..

exactly as Hitesh said... We have heard so many -ve views abt NIFT that one or two cases hardly make a difference.. However what we have to decide is that what will be the scenario 2 years hence.. What would be the situation of retail then.. At present, the downfall might be because of the overall turmoil in the market.. Since retail sector is direct related to public, it would definitely be the 1st one to experience the effects of inflation or other market disturbances.. This is a phaze and is certain to pass out...

What we have to think is whether these factors had anything to do with this yr placements or is NIFT actually an over-hyped institute and contains a super weak placement cell???

Yaar I have not given one single test apart from NIFT management.. I cannot go anywhere else.. As a matter of fact, I dont want to go anywhere else.. This is what I have aspired for long since and this is what I am gonna get.. I've decided.. I am surely gonna come for councilling and get whatever centre I can get and pray the placement scenario gets better by the time we pass out... I cannot leave whatever I have planned since months coz of one day..

well well well... the scenario out here looks pretty much heated up...

guys... there are a few things which u need to ask urself before getting swayed by wat our seniors or even other ppl say...

1. im sure nobody's a fool that they wont think bout wats good n bad after doin this course... we were all pretty much in our senses wen we filled up our forms... FMS is defnitely nt comparable to an MBA... coz its a course specific to the fashion industry... one cannot compare a hotel management course to an MBA rite... similar is the case fr FMS...

2. get ur priorities straight n crystal clear... one shud knw wat they wanna get outta their lives... i feel there's no dearth f work fr anyone in this world.. only the person shud be smart enuf to tap it... the beginning may nt be a very rosy affair... but once u get on the track.. there's no stopping u...

3. hv spoken to a very close frnd of mine doin the same course in delhi.. n all that she said was... don jump into this field jus bcoz u gt a good rank or u getting into the cream insti... join only if u wanna do this course n help urself to channelise ur future in the direction u want to... even she was of the opinion that there are a lot f ppl whu join delhi campus n then crib sayin that this wasnt wat they had expected.. they thot of it as an MBA with similar expectations relating to pay package n stuff...

guys this field is somethin.. wher an answer shud come out in an instinct... nt wandering over thots n pooled discussions...

Read ur MIND... don take decisions that end up gettin squashed bcoz u dreamed of a utopian world n a life fr urself... choose n decide wisely...
