Hey guys..

I am divya..I am amazed to see that you all r so very concerned.. I can truly understand your situation.. The same happened to me when I did my M. FTech.( management) from NIFT..


I appologize to say that you all will regret one day after joining NIFT.. It is totally a waste of time and money... It is not worth it. I am not scaring you all but this is my personal experience... It happened to my friends as well..

I knew that NIFT placements and future are only comparable to some not-so-prestigeous MBA institutes.. Afterall MBA is MBA.. However, I dont understand when u say that it would be a complete waste of time and money.. Dont they provide much knowledge or are the placements wowful??

Are we able to get sustainable jobs by doing it?? What are the future aspects or restrictions of doing this course?? I would really be grateful if u could give a more in-depth analysis..

ok ok..even i agree now..this is not gonna be easy for everyone ! i have been in this field for more than a year..but have got to know..there is a hell lot of competition and have even seen graduates from NIFT struggling like nething !! wel yea i know it depends on an individual, on how he or she makes it later on..but who knows? what will happen later? its a complete risk.. coz by doing FMS u r limiting urself to just one line..thats fashion thingy..n in MBA u get to have many options..!! its just a life changin choice !!

@ ruplun .. dude m nt in nift either .bt uc.. it depends upon ..wat u want 2 pursue latr.. i hav a keen intrest in brang management nd dis course is apt fr it .. wit respect 2 apparel industry .. nd moreover .. it also ..depends on wat options u hav .. if u hav gt thru sumwhere in a b-school ,,,thn u shud .. think better of..

nd frankly speakin ... i jus fail to understand hw can ppl compare this course wit general mba...this course is 1 of its own kind.. theres no parallelism..wen it comes to mftech.mangement

Well..well ..well.........
lots of heat....n lots of speculations..... and someone speaking out her heart (I can understand what you are going thru my friend..specially looking at scenario dis yr...)

lemme put some straight facts in front of al of you.....

• 2006 Batch (3 centers; 95 students) - Got placed at NIFT Delhi within 3 hours.
• 2007 Batch (5 centers; 150 students..thts mah batch) - 110 ppl got placed at NIFT mumbai on Day 1; remaning got placed at NIFT Del & Banglr placements ..ovrall...100% placements. Avrg salary - arnd 3.6 overall. I was placed vth Pantaloons on day 1 but late got PPO frm VF-Arvind, hence joined VF corp.
• 2008 batch (6 centers) - Hardly 30 got placed in Mumbai on day 1. Close 50-60 were able to get jobs during placements at remaining centers. Their junior batch who joined last yr...also struglled badly to get interns in decent companies.

So crux of d story.... NIFT increased d no of seats anticipating rise in demand. Demand is thr for sure but certainly NIFT is unable to capitalize on it(coz it lacks proper marketing n resources)..not able to attract many big brands/retailers to campus for interviews wch cud hv generated jobs for new joinees. They failed to live upto their numero uno status in industry!!

So finally its your call ppl.... silver lining in d current scenario is... many ppl proved thr worth in d crowwd n managed to fetch jobs in murjani's, adidas, reebok, UCB, madura garments, tommy hilfiger, arvind brands, pyramid, pantaloons etc. to name few. So as hitesh mentioned already..its all about indivdual's capabilities.....There are good jobs for good people...
If you can stretch out n beat d rest..... u can fetch d best jobs in d market...
