i think as far as the bulk deals for these items are concerned, puys @delhi can themselves find out the best bargain a few days b4 the session starts, and then when we all collect at the instt when the session starts,the deal can be done through.what say...

Oh the speakers are a means to achieving the end mentioned by arpit! And as far as the shopping goes, as of now i'm headed to calcutta, don't mind shopping for the people there.

On a more serious note, on the the bulk deals we're trying to pull up here, it would be much better if we could get the deal for the entire batch, delhi + cal. We will get better discounts in that case. What say??

Sure dude. Sounds cool. I've heard that Dell offers a 5% student discount and assorted freebies to start off with n the deal gets better as the number of ppl who opt for it goes up. It's probably the same for the other laptop manufacturers as well. It wouldn't hurt to gather info. However, it might be better to wait till we're actually on campus before making any concrete decisions cos many ppl aren't on PG.

That's fair enough, just that for certain models, companies like dell take around 3 weeks for deliveries to begin. Wouldn't we find it difficult to manage without a computer for that long consider how much everyone on the net has emphasized on having a lappy.

Hi!U can go thru the last year IIFT thread..thre u can get the whole picture.

Wat I cud gather is the the WaitList 30 cud made to IIFT Kol and only few ppl I guess single digit no.(<10) cud made from IIFT Kol to IIFT Del .

Last to last year....it was a gr8 year...one of the senior told me 4 lista were out....nd even many ppl from the waitlist cud made to IIFT Del(till 100 ..I heard)..

However,I got this info sometime back....U can alwys go thru PG thread of IIFT to get the most Authentic figures...

V will know this yrs' status tommorrow and in the days following.
