Also could you tell us about the different clubs like finance, marketing, quiz club. I heard that there is a club that manages funds and invests(SOunds interesting).

Yup.. Like in an engg college you have a technical fest in a B School there is a Business Fest.. the most common competitions being paper writing, case studies, B Plans, Strategy games and a lots more.. and believe me if you take them seriously you can earn your full fees for 2 years by winning the competitions only... the prizes for some events goes upto a lakh or more...we at IIFT are proud of winning loads of prizes at every top B School competition in India...year after year
About the clubs yes there are a lots of them... Marketing, Fin, Trade, Strategy, Quizzing, IT and even a movie club for screening movies for the batch at times. ... U will get details about these in the very first week... U can join more than one club... that's not an issue.

oh, theek hai, that was my chauvinistic side peeking out. A trip to vaishnodevi would certainly be fun. And if possible, a nearby visit to dehradun i wouldnt especially mind.

vaishno devi is going to be fun but of a diff kind. I'm game. But not dehradun yaar, its wayy to hot, and the heat doesn't spare that place either. In this heat, shouldn't we head for the hills??

Hey Puys,
IIM results are trickling in and guess the waitlists will start moving faster now. Hoping to make it into Delhi with a merit of 39 in Kolkata.
@changezee thanks a lot for tracking the waitlist movement.

I believe this comment was totally uncalled for.I dont think respecting our parent's opinion and advice curbs our freedom in any way. They are just concerned about our safety and welfare. And they are the very ppl who pave the way for our empowerment.so think twice before booing sm1 again.

Hey Friends,
Let us all put an end to these gender wars or other wars ... after all, this is not the right place for this... Personal opinions and choices should be respected..
Abhi toh 2 saal saath rehna hai.. we will have a fair share of moments for all the disagreements and groans and praises...
Cheers,
Dhruv

Hey guys,
Anyone who sent in the fees by mail got the acknowledgment yet ? My mail reached IIFT on 21-Apr , but I haven't called up the acknowledgment yet.
Called up IIFT, and a person looked up my roll number and said that they have received my draft , and that the acknowledgment is in the mail . However, I would feel better if I had that 'acknowledgment slip of destiny' in my hand ... Have burnt my bridges @ work too :-) ( Translates to , I have quit ... )
Also, any idea as to what the actual date of joining is gonna be ? I planned June off , but dont wanna laze for more than a month ..
Cheers,
Harihar

i agree. that was just a lame attempt at pulling peoples legs. as far as respecting parents goes, i dont think that saying that we respect them matters. what matters is what we do. and then to think about it, how many times do we actually tell our parents "hey da/mom, i love you". but they know how we feel.
Sorry if i hurt your feelings. It was not my intention. My attempt was simply to provoke a reaction from all the sweet and composed ladies. which i have succeded at. cheerio. and please, dont take offence. i am like that.
