Hmm... well, I am not really a Windows person so cannot help you with that. On my Vista, I just adjust it for best performance and use it so I suppose I won't be the best person to advise you about the Vista aero experience.

Hi all,
I found Dell Inspiron 1525 a suitable config for work and fun both. Attached is the quote from Dell, discount subjected to min. 5 orders. We can work out a better deal if we have more number of people. I felt this config as an optimized deal. Please suggest guys..

Hey Dhruv, nice work. Now see, ppl like me are least equipped to suggest any options. Have very little idea about laptops. Dell, as i read in PG somewhere, heats up quickly. NOw i don't know if dats a major impediment or not. Another one is the thing abt anti-virus. Shud one go for an anti-virus (paid one)? Or will the free ones (like AVG) will serve the purpose? Actually, i don't trust the views of retail sellers of any equipments. They are guided more by the margins offered by the companies than satisfying customer needs. Also, Dhruv, wud 15 in be gud or shud one go for 14 in?

Hey puys,
While looking for laptops i came across this awesome site where u can compare different branded laptops.
Compare India
Regarding dell laptops, a friend of mine has told me that the hinges of dell are not very sturdy. i personally am eying Sony Vaio CR 35. Also had gone to next electronic store and the laptop guy told me that Lenovo comps are the most sturdy and has the best processor.
Would be visitin the respective showrooms of the various brands soon.
