About the loan thing - Banks will be closed on 1 April - annual closing of accounts. I have booked my tickets so as to be in Ahmedabad (where i shall be applying for loan) on 31-Mar and 1-Apr. I just called up the concerned official and was told that banks will be closed for normal banking transactions - cheque clearing, deposits, withdrawal, etc. But there should be no problem for the loan thing.

My advice to people is if u have money to pay the 1st instalment, pl go ahead - u can always take loan later after joining iift. It's only for ppl like me who have almost zero liquidity that need to be running around for loan right now.

true. Me too got the same answer. although right now i am looking for the best option.

wish there was a bank (foreign not indian), which would give me loan and then just after my 2 years of study were over, it would collapse. no loan payback. now, thats wishful thinking.

Hi guys,

I need an fruitfull advise for whether doing part time Mba (IB) from IIFT
as i have done M.F.T and presently working in telecom company
and have a overall exp of more than three years in shipping industry
along with telecom export company.

The reason for doing it from IIFT is that you get brand name on
your cv plus your growth is exponential. so i just want to know
wats a scenario after part time course along with placements.

one of my friends has got the letter. however it does not tell waiting list number. so i guess one can only find out after 25th apr when last date of fee payment happens.

Amazing analysis... would take the liberty to correct you on some pionts .. All converts mentioned below means the ones common with IIFTD. .. think Venn Diagrams while reading below ..

1) The figure x cannot be 10 since the total FMS converts is 10.
Should be around 3. Hence Unique FMS f = 7, x = 3.
2) The figure y cannot be 20 since FMS Union XL itself would be around 20.
Changing def of Y ( [IIM] intersection [FMS Union XL Union MDI]) y = 10
3) Not taken into account Unique XL Converts. XL = 10
4) Agree with the MDI over Lap part.. So Unique MDI - M = 8.
5) Not taken into account the Unique IIMs converts - I = 15.
6) Reducing the stray factors to 5. ( Subtracting the interstions between FMS and MDI .. MDI and XLRI ..etc )

SO now the total overlaps : F+X+Y+XL+M+I = 7+3+10+10+8+15 = 53

SO that means WL: 23-25 ( frm IIFT K -> IIFT D )
