Dude its only for seminars and various official functions.

The reason there is a dress code for such events because as a group of students representative of IIFT some sort of uniformity and conformity is expected.

Hey guys...
any idea what can be the total cost of our IIFT course??as per my calculation Rs. 534,000 is the academic fee common for both campuses.this includes computer facility charges,IMF etc. For Kolkata campus hostel fee is 42,000 per annum,i.e., total 84,000.plus we can include messing charges of approx 50,000 for two years.and more can be added in books,comp/laptop,travel head(plz add more if m missing some).so looks like total wud b around 7lacs for kolkata campus.suggestions needed.
m headed home this week-end to try convince PSU's managers.

i agree with you. Many of the people this time have multiple calls and multiple conevrts. One factor which will play a role however, is the recent fee hike. 8 lakhs for 2 years is quite a lot of money. it just might be that people leave mdi and come to iift for the fees reason.

I am joining IIFt K , wasnt able post earlier , due the office firewalls and filters.

I think IIFT K offer letters are way different from the D ones.
No mention of dress code in the K ones.

Let me know if anyone got a IIFT K letter with dress code info.

Plus adding to w/l analysis:(wow nurav v cn do majors in this) Assume converted figures:
1).FMS: F= 10 common.
2).XL: [XL] intersection [FMS] : x (can someone add ne actual figure)
3).[IIM] intersection [FMS Union XL]: y

4).MDI Overlap Analysis:
nw IIMS giv call at 98.8 +, MDI does at 96.5+ (ROUGHLY!) so calls common 12/35~ 34% overlap.Now 46 calls common bw MDI n IIFT,D. suppose 20 convert
-So actual MDI overlap: .66*20=.13.2~13
-Out of those 7 common to MDI and IIMS..suppose 3 dont convert IIMs n come to MDI.
-out of these 13+3 around 50% will stick to IIFT,ND. So MDI interlap:M=8

TO = 10+x+y+7+sf
Assuming, GUESSTIMATING : x,y...
