All the assumptions i made here are very conservative.. and m sure will go higher ..
such was not the case in 2007 cos of a unique paper.. hence very little overlaps..
going by the 2006 scenerio ...
the merit till 170 moved to IIFT-D that means till around 45 WL
IIFT- D 126 calls = 140% of 90 seats
IIFT- K 84 calls = 140% of 60 seats,
and this yr the seats is 120 so a higher no. of WL..
Hence just be optimistic and wish all the IIM Call guys loads and loads of luck .. | | | | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to nurav For This Useful Post:

Kinshu | Ok then, We may look at Auli, etc nearby as a likely option. It would be gud to have a few like minded ppl with us. That wud set the ball rolling before the academic grilling starts. Not everything that counts can be counted; not everything that can be counted counts.

The number of extra calls in Delhi might be greater than 32 (152-120) for the GEN category. As per Mr Mago there are 85 seats in GEN and 1.5 times offers have been given i.e around 42 extra offers. | | | | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to Changezeee For This Useful Post:

It's true that all ppl in the race for MDI would also be in the race for IIM's, the reverse would not be true. There are ppl who target no other institutes except IIM's. There are also ppl who target only ABC and no other IIM's. So I believe there will be a few ppl - can't estimate a number though - who will also be in the reckoning for IIM's ONLY. But then again, there would be a few in the MDI list who would not have IIM calls. But still, I believe there could be more with IIM calls not in the MDI list than ppl in MDI list without IIM calls. We know there are 10 ppl common in IIFT D and FMS. There could be a few in XL, NITIE, SPJ, JBIMS and IIT's too (assuming they find them better than IIFT, which surely can be the case). NITIE and IIT's could be closer to IIFT in student perception, but i guess Xl, SPJ and JBIMS would be higher. Honestly, the crucial part is the IIM result on 11-Apr. That will decide how many of us will be able to make it to D instead of C. Pallavisud and Guhan135, those above me in C merit number, have better calls on hand. So hopefully, I stand a chance to make it to D. Not everything that counts can be counted; not everything that can be counted counts.

@ Seniors
I have a query regarding Uniform on the special occassions as mentioned in the Offer Letter..
Is it mandatory that blazers are navy blue and trousers are steel grey?
I mean, can't we choose a formal business suit as per our choice?...

I don't know if there are separate offer letters for K and D, but
IIFT Del offer letter clearly mentions not only the dress code, but a deadline of first week October, 2008.
