I talked to some gal at IIFT DElhi and was told that the call-letters to the 226-odd people have been posted just yesterday. That letter will have all the details we need.

well guys, i had my fms on 16th march...

and since i had some time for my rtn flight to hyd'bad,

i went to visit IIFT's delhi campus,

location: qutab institutional area, south delhi...

in fact its off the main road to mehrauli(qutub minar) ...

on the way came SafdarJung airport, AIIMS and Hauz khas (thats where IIT delhi is located...)

i boarded an auto at karolbagh and got down at a place called Adchini on the main road to mehrauli and took another auto to IIFT,
which is just about 1.5-2km off this main road...

u cud also take a bus number 680 to reach the campus from adchini busstop/signal(on meharuli main road)...get down at katwariya sarai stop...
(found this frm a person who was very helpful in locating the IIFT campus)

else you could always take an auto like me... minimum fare...:-)



the Qutab institutional area is full of big offices of central govt organizations,

like Central Water commission, Indian Statistical institute, some govt. music univ, Fertilizer association of India etc, some other institutes of dept. of science and tech...

and a big hospital nearby...and even JNU nearby...

located in midst of them is IIFT, a nice good campus tucked away in midst of all these...

not very spacious perhaps (6 acres)but well built vertically...good architecture...

spent about 20 min in and nearby IIFT...checking out all the buildings n offices...

liked the campus, well planned...nice greenery in and around...:-)

hope this info will be useful to any1 visiting IIFT D...

but overall i took me about 1 hour in auto to reach IIFT from my hotel in karolbagh... perhaps b'cause new metro lines are being dug by DMRC near AIIMS... so lot of digging/traffic jams...

after sm time in IIFT, took another auto to visit Qutub minar:-)... which is about 2km from IIFT... towards mehrauli...

Just called up IIFt office, my rank is 11th on the Kolkata list. Lets hope I make it to Delhi. not sure about the Kolkata campus though, will decide based on my other results.

Just what this means,

Last year 43 guys got cleared, the list for Delhi was 156

So 36 from that list PLUS 7 from the Kolkata list

This year 152 calls for Delhi

So 32 from that list PLUS 11 from Kolkata list == 43

That means if things stay same as last year me will be the last lucky guy

Anyway I hope everyone gets what he or she wants

What’s the average experience at IIFT? The avg experience at IIT B is 3 years. The avg salary is 14 lacks. And the avg salary of IIFT is 10.11 lacks. So I am wondering that avg work ex of IIFT should be close to 1 year and not more than that….is that right?

Friends I understand there are a lot of ppl who are hoping to maove in IIFT-D from waitin list....And I believe there is going to be a lot of movement...so I firml;y believe everyone has valid reason to be hopeful...But it might not be same..Bcz last year we cannot forget that Quota row had disturbed the admission process for IIMs and IIFTs a lot(both paid for having a 'II' tag)

So the situation has changed in respect to two conditions:
1. Ther is no Quota row this year..admission and result declaration is as planned.
2. PG ranking will factor in a lot of ppl's mind before they decide.

But Im sure that W/L movement wil be big..bcz this year the intersection of IIFT list with others seems very extensive which will both help both the conform and w/l ppl...
to conform list ppl it wil help bcz it give us very competent batchmates..
to w/l friends for nt only the above reason (as many of them move in ) beside the obvious reason
