the ultra slim and the normal screen both cost the same according to the dealer, which was quite a surprise since the website shows that it costs close to 4000 bucks more.

thats a damn sweet config ... and ya the site shows 4K more for the light screen... surprising... coud u plz pm me your invoice details...
would like to know the xact diff if i order the same from the website ..

this initiative is as a result of nurav, the phenomenon (who is missing for sometime) and changeezee. So thans to them.

friends, this idea just struck me when i saw a list of people interested in purchasing the laptop being prepared.
i guess we should start preparing a list of items that we will require.it should range right from the very basic things to the important ones.
can we have some contribution from puys who r in constant touch with seniors or friends already studying in one or the other b-school.

The beauty of going for a bulk deal with Dell would be that everyone can get a system customized for themselves, get it billed in their name and get the bulk discount. I wonder why its becoming confusing yaar.

As for the config, I'm attaching the config that I've thought for myself. I'd suggest that everyone have an nVidia GeForce 8400 atleast on their systems. Since Vista graphics are very heavy, it'll save your RAM a lot of trouble. The Intel X3100 graphics card available in many systems does not have any dedicated video RAM and thus brings down the system performance by sharing the RAM for graphic purposes. I'd say its a must for anybody going for Vista with AERO experience.

And people who've added their names to the list, kindly pm me your names, email ids and which iift centre you're headed to. Have got about 5 names till now. Dhruv if you could send me the names and email ids that you have please.

Hey guys ive updated the list, but im interested only for xps 1330.... so are all of us plannin 2 buy the same lapi, or also lookin for other variants of dell...also wud b greatful if guys plannin to buy xps 1330 can club up and strike a bulk deal...
