Like IITKGP has 120 seats. Can you tell me last year how many students were waitlisted,what was the size of the released list? Till what point the waiting list moved?

I had the gd/pi on March 14th, morning slot. As some one had already mentioned most of us were waiting there from 7.30 am and the presentation started at 9 am. But after that everything went on very smoothly. The presentation was pretty impressive.


GD:
It was a business case study. The strength of the group was 12 of which 2 were absent in mine. About a loss making company which had to cut down the employees’ benefits. Everyone was given around 10 min to think. After that everyone had to speak their points for 1 minute separately. After that it was open discussion for 10 min. Even though there was a fight for the air time in the beginning, towards the end there was not much left to speak as the case was very much restricted.


PI: My panel had a prof and a madam. The same panel was there for the gd as well.

The questions asked were:
Introduce yourself
Explain the main project
There were some basic questions asked about the main project.
Why do you want to pursue management right after engineering?
What are the problems faced by the women managers?
Who is your role model?
Which all colleges have you got call from?
Then there was a brief discussion on my extra curricular activities.
The whole interview lasted for 15 to 20 min.

hi below is my experience somewhat bizzare:
gd topic: A case study in which there is a hospital. the management is having a problem from nurses in the night shift. Two level of management people r there a lady and there is her boss. These nurses were given a raise of 8% earlier still their attendence is short . Lady provides a solution to increase pay by 15% as night shift nurses have greater responsibility to handle and cases in evining r all time high. her boss struck this plan as it affect day nurses as well and there would be a domino effect. lady further proposes to increase night nurses job profile from grade 2 to grade 3
we had discuss what the ladies boss should do ?

now i coming 2 p. i.

while we were waiting outside( i was second last) a guy with industrial engineering came out . He recounted his experience inside and was telling about gt/pi at iit madras. we were discussing i n general and he was telling that since he is fromindustrial eng . everyone loves to grill him. suddenly we heard a voice behind: abe tune to yaheen ke hi nahi sab jageh ke interview questions bata diye ab main kya poochonga. He then said that he agrees with us that engineering is done these days only 4 brackets. however high percentage a person scores in mech he cannot but in a spark plug. he then asked my brranch i told ec.he tells me so u r from virtual world explained other guy u have done something we know and he(me) i dont so it happens. He asked what my father does i told him mech eng talked 4 one more min. then he remembered he had to take interview and went inside.

GD :- It was a case study about some firm which want to maximize profit.So, we have to decide how should we proceed as
a consultant.It was ok kind of.But Moderator termed it as a fish market.

At the gdpi venue-SJMSOM, none of my results or certificates or their attested copies were asked for, and as far as i remember, same was the case with many others.. stil, wait until seniors have their say..
