the main attraction for IIIT BANGALORE are its placement oppurtunities in foreign companies
like MICROSOFT,ORACLE,SAP LABS, SIEMENS, HP, SUN MICROSYSTEMS,TEXAS INSTRUMENTS

but these companies are not coming in each and every year
why is this happening?
can anyone throw some light on this?

2004 passout with a good job. Wondering whether leaving it and joining is a good idea. Some people I know say that IIIT B is not that good. Is this because its relatively new?

Looks like even the jobs after Mtech dont pay much more than for a BE person.
Does anyone know what percentage of students are not freshers in IIITB..checked out Orkut and everyone seems to be a straight from college.Wondering whether it will be a value-add to my current post. Any ideas?

Also what comp languages do we have to be competent in before joining?

i am student of iiitb and i can assure you of good job from iiitb but again it depends if u have intel and microsoft type job dont leave it but if u have infosys and wipro typ ejobe better join this course

you need expertise in c,c++,java................but if u dont know..........it will not be a problem because here many guys are from other backgrounds....like mechanical and still performing well here.............................so..........

you just need a great desire only ............nothing else

what type of ques are asked.i hv heard they ask you to give a speech on a technical topic.is it true.anyone knowing anything about interview plz help me
