this is the first time i am coming across this SPOT selection...does it actaully happen mate...just curious i guess...and also guys...just cause they say wiegtage is so n so...les not fret abt past scores blah blah...As Future HR pioneers....we need to be able to get things done no matter what the odds are...and to do that you need self belief.......anyway BOL to all the guys/gals who are up on 2nd....

Dude ,

Spot Selection doesnt mean that you will be given Admission offer letter on tht day itself. Even though it may had happen , no one wld be able to knw , such things are shrouded in secrecy and only concerned Prof at TISS may know it . Even current batch students wld nt be able to tell it whether they were from SPOT selection . Maybe in last 2 -3 years it hasnt happened . just take an Example that Suppose you have an excellent GD and Superb PI and end of PI Panel says that We would like to meet you in TISS this year ....at tht time panel may nt have gone thru your written test marks or your Academics.... nor they would have calculated your cumulative score .... But they wld have selected u at tht moment itself. they neednt need to calculate cumulative score of your's in such case.. Of course Such cases are very rare and may nt happen every year ...

I really don't know where to begin preparing although I'm starting with the topics given on the TISS HRM & LR website. I just got my call letter yesterday. I shall probably leave here on the same day as the GDPI since I'm from Pune. If you could PM me your number maybe we can keep in touch and meet up at TISS.

However, my HRM and LR GDPI is on the 13th and my media and cultural studies GDPI is on the 12th so I guess we are not on the same day.

Help !!! To all the ppl with work ex.

How are we going to show the panel that we have been working for so n so time.
Do we need to send some particular doc with the DAF, may be our call letter or something. Because as per the details,the NOC which we need from our company that needs to be submitted only once we get the admission. So for gd/pi what document would we require??

Hi Preeti,

As suggested by seniors in previous pages, you can take along your most recent 3 payslips. And, apart from that, you can take your Appointment letter.
These will do the trick, i think.
