sigh! Going through the pages and inspired by some incidents going on recently, thought of discussing this topic- and a very relevant one for HR too.....
In Mumbai, Raj Thackrey has played the region card and that has led to exodus of a lot of migrant workers(even on this thread,we saw a slight tone of regionalism, though for a good purpose )
...obviously this is affecting the labour pool and very much a HR issue.....a similar thing can happen in an organization/industry as well.....The point of discussion is how to minimize the effects if one was the HR? How to be receptive of different people from different regions? How to grow inclusively as an organization and as a society as well? What steps can we take?
pour in your thoughts!

I think the HR play major role in this all event with respect to laws of indian labour asking 4 avOiding any kind of discrimination ...I think if this kind of situaution arise ( which shouldnt arise it self if HR is working succesfully ) HR shuld arrange a group agenda n plan team tasks for organisation may b ouside office or so (eg:- tracking ) which give more emphasis on human skill n need for each other thn dividing merely on regionwise.
lastly HR should make it a point POLITICS OUTSIDE IS NONE OF COMPANIES BUISNESS , bt one cant control human mind n things can go wrong.
i just want to thank garfieldthecat for taking this intitative , puys pls cotribute in this rather start dicussing different topics...rather thn dividing our self on REGIONAL BASIS
Dont think you are KNOW you ARE

Hey puys, goin through this thread, seems lots been happening over the weekend. But Id like to bring to light the fact that , there was not any regionalism at play here a la Mr. Thakeray. It was just that GD encompasses a whole of things like body language , eye contact etc n it most definitely is a Ppeople - people process..Since, people from all over India cant come together cities came to play and one le to another. That is it. Lets not read too much in between the lines.
Any wich ways, lets not trivialise this like our politicians do n go ahead with our preparations.
Lots of material n GD topics here.
So lets throw the floor open to a topic now.

Well...working out region-wise can be done to hone up your speaking/refuting/communication skills etc etc...but for the benefit of all...can we start offf with the basics of a GD??
I am sure there must be some thread on the same..not the post on various topics, but the ultimate basics...body language, posture...cz if we start discussing on how to go about a GD, we really cant ignore the teeny-weeny details too!(unfortunately can't seem to find any myself!! ).. so if any1 has any clue...plz post the same...
And those of you who have attended any mock GDs...classes etc etc..plz feel free to post ur experiences...the tips and pointers given...anything that could be useful to the thread and to folks like me who could derive the most from such posts!!
thanks n good day!!

The time is very less and we have to read as much as we can.Try to read Newspaper daily(applicable especially to me as i don't have that good habit at all).
We have to collect all the relevant details about our subjects also.It would be better if we have some knowledge about the course of study.
