Re: Ibs Bangalore 2008-10 - 23-02-2008, 08:54 PM

i saw the campus..it's decent.
in a leased building..but teh building itself is much better than IBMT or other sngle apartment colleges...
abt hostel, they have outsourced it to 4 diff venders..in total of 12 hostel you will have to choose..u report at the campus, those hostel guies will pick you. show u the hostel...
i spoke with few of the students, and the geberal word was that if you are in top 50% of the students, then this campus is for you.you won't have any prob...

well, that's what i know...
lets hope some seniors wil come forward and giv sme more valuable information..

HI Everybody...

I m Rahul From bangalore,,I too got into IBS BAngalore but I m not joining becoz its not valuable and not at alll value for ur 6.5 Lkac....I m Staying in Bangalore form past 6 years and i Have a pretty good ideas about the MBA colleges in bangalore becoz i have done hell lot of groundwork n research on it,,,,
GUys switch to some other college but dont go to IBS-Bangalore,,,,Dont go behind BUildings n Hostels.....at the end of the day we all r working to get our Bread n Butter i.e. Placements,,and IBS-Bangalre placement is not good,,max it reaches to 65 % of the total strength of the class...and even Not so good companies visit the campus,,,,so check it out for IBS-HYD.,GUR,MUM.....this r the good n best ones...
This is what i have seen ...
Rest all depends on u...
TAke Care

HI Dude,,
Well I would suugest u to see the things practiaclly...Dont go on sayings or college Sites,,Nobody in this world want to lose money even IBS too....Well i m saying u this becoz i personally met the students of IBS-Bangalore n i found this outcome which i said,,,Now at the end of the day its urs decesion,,,Taking risk is not Bad but taking risk with Future is something which u have to think for...well go to IBS Brochure of Placements..even there u will find thaat the highest pakacge for 2008 batch is 5.25....and 63% students r placed and remianing will be placed by end of FEB...

All the best for ur future dude and dont take hapazard decesion,,,,especially where ur whole life is concerned,,,Think practicall n see practically the things,,Don't go on anybody's saying,,,,not even on my words,,,,,Do research n help urself..
Take care
Rahul

I agree with both of you...partially...
ankit...don't go by the figures....they can be interreted and as ICFAi isn't that transparent as we all know....

but on the other hand, are those who are studying there a fool......or..have they been made a fool...
see.i spoke with both kind of students..one who got placement ad one who didn't..both said the same thing...if you are among top 50%, this campus is for you... placements are at any point better than many other colleges in bangalore...well after IIM...Alliance and IBS are the only two colleges with a good placement stats.....
but...a college won't giv you placement, it will call companies to campus and depending upon their eligibility criteria they will allow you to sit in the placements...
and the kind of companies that are visiting the IBS campus, it's very impressive...
Companies like meryl lynch and DE SHAWare comping with TCS and Satyam....the profile is not bad from any angle..and the fees 6.5lakhs..that's up to you..students told me that people are getting scholarships .. so it's upto you..
you want to the glass half full or half empty.....
