Well, that is true that hostels are being alloted on merit basis but that doesnt mean a student would not be given any accomodation (as my understanding goes, no speculations/guesses here)..that case would only be considered if a candidate has a local residence here in Delhi...n that too preference/priority would come in first before any rejections of any kind!!! It's solely my rationale that allotment would be on merit + location basis..with outstation students getting preference than the local day-skiis.......
Facilities can vary from hostel to hostel...VKRV Rao hostel has wi-fi enabled...with many other facilities...
Rest of yr queries can be taken by MHROD/MIB seniors....

hi niminshsatija,

someone had asked this query sometime back , and neetu did try asking the office guys about it , but was told that these things are usually held confidential. so you might have to wait till may 5th to know about the same.

just for info , for MHROD , the waitlist cleared till 29 last season.

i was sayin it..cz i read it in the previous pot that some one said tht 15 people have taken MIB.so was jst curious to knw th scene in MHROD..

Yes..that is true...but one thing,the staff there is capricious (with varying moods)...Sometimes they blatantly refuse to dispense any info. abt status and at times are very expressive abt the same...
So happened to be a lucky instant when i was told that 15 students have enrolled so far...i should have asked the status for MHROD also...
I wonder one need to constantly keep a check on the count by asking staff abt it!!!!

u shud hav just waited a lil an tried to cajole the admn a bit but u r surly in cause initially i was talking to a sir who did not know much but i just asked again so he put some other sir on the line who gave me the official figures n even explained the whole mechanism as to how the wait list moves up ... he said that 17 ppl have not joined mhrod and 13 have not joined mib .... these shud be more or less the confirmed figures... thats all i could make out from the way he spoke ... so u should not be worried
